Hayne threatens to quit NRL

Love for the game wont get them far when they retire at 30 years old and the vast majority do not have the skills to have a career in the media afterwards. In the end this is their career and it is a short one, so whats the problem with them trying to make as much money as they can?

If players want to seriously consider life after football they should be taking up the opportunities available to them to gain qualifications as some of their team mates do.

I can only speak in regards to Wests Tigers but the welfare programmes have most players in some form of training, some junior players in trades schools and alot of others in further education. There are opportunities for every player to grab.

There are always exceptions to the rule though. Greg Inglis for example. His future is likely to include standing shirtless in a front yard of Altona punching on with a neighbour over whose flagon it is

Jarryd's a tool, but the crux of his argument is not without merit.

But to suggest he has little right to say his piece is ludicrous.

And those saying he's "not that good" are kidding themselves. You would all have him somewhere in your side, so stop lying.

Consistency? He's 22. And he's not playbg poorly.

Bur it doesn't detract from the fact Hayne is a tool. Seriously.

How is he a tool? He was a really nice when I meet him.

I agree with everything else you said though, he is a bloody good player and is allowed to say what he did.

Big deal. When Jarryd's contract is up in 2014 the new TV deal will be in anyway. And if Gallop has any clue with negatiating it should allow for a salary cap of $6 million and allow most players to stay.

He was a half-season wonder. Come 2014 he'll just be another also ran. The opposition have figured him out. His effectiveness is gone.

He was a half-season wonder.

People like you are such idiots,Hayne has been a great player ever since he came into the NRL,all this half season wonder nonsense and he's only played 5 good games nonsense is a joke.

# Scored 17 tries in his debut season in 16 games and won Dally M rookie of the year award, did you losers forget about this already?

# In his second season he secured representative berths in City VS Country,State of Origin and played one test for Australia,he scored 12 tries for Parramatta in his second season, did you losers forget about that already?

# He has been NSW best player ever since he came into origin, watch all the tapes of previous years(Especially in 2009 he was brilliant)

# 2009 Dally award winner

He has been a great player for over 4 years now you pathetic dopes, all these rubbish about him only having played 5 good games in his life is a disgrace and makes you look like jealous losers.

Alot of people have short memories if they think Hayne has only been good for half a season(last year) in his entire career

Jarrod Hayne is whinging about only getting 4 free tickets to the Test when he earns $500k a year?

If he wants to leave let him, I'm not saying he is not a superstar but no one is bigger then the game. Dell, Lote, Rogers, SBW, Gasnier all walked away and Rugby League has gotten along just fine without them, the same would happen with Hayne

Alot of jealous dopes in this thread wishing they could make the same amount of money as Hayne

Its not Jarryd Hayne's fault people have to slave away for hours on minmum wage, why don't they become a rugby league player if they want the same money as Hayne? is it Hayne's fault there not good enough to become a professional rugby league player like him? is it Haynes fault they can't find a better job? is it Haynes fault that parents decided to have 7 kids and now can't afford anything? is it Haynes fault people are too dumb to go to uni therefore they have to slave 50 hours a week on a forklift? is it Haynes fault you're too dumb and have to work at Blockbuster? is it Haynes fault you dropped out of school in year 10 because you're a tard? is it Haynes fault that you're on Centrelink?

LOL @ people who complain that Hayne earns alot of money because there too dumb and slave away for 40k a year, get a better job you losers or stop complaining about how much other people earn.

By the same regard

Is it the ARL's fault that Haynes family are broke arse nobodies from the boondocks?

Is it the ARL's responsibility to look after said societal leeches and Hayne hangers on?

Is it the NRL's fault that Hayne has no future outside sport?

Greedy money hungry players are leeches.
Lockyer, Johns, Fittler - all great players that remained loyal to the NRL despite the money being thrown at them to switch to union, and all of them better players than Hayne will ever be.

thats pretty funny seeing Johns recieved special help and a long
channel 9 career after footy to keep him at the knights.

Fittler > Roosters    Do they even have a salary cap that they have to stay under?

Lockyer > Funny how ppl point out Storm have 6 internationals.. Brisbane had 11 at 1 point.. Rorters of all Rorters the Broncos.
