With the soccer world cup looming, I thought it would be interesting to find out whats more important...Australia to win the wold Cup or your team to win the comp.

World Cup means more on a global scale.. and it's only once every 4 years. You can win a premiership any year depending how well your teams plays.

I'd rather win the comp.

In a way winning the soccer would be great to show how good we are as a sporting nation, that we could win a sport that isn't even in the top two or three games here but is huge everywhere else.

But on the other hand a win in the soccer would threaten RL even more and we can't really afford that. Plus, premierships might be up for grabs every year but they are still very hard to come by these days, as Cronulla, Parramatta and St George fans should know.

I love the Raiders just as much as I love the Socceroos, but winning the World Cup would be the greatest sporting achievement in Australian history and would send the country berserk.

No doubt it would be Australia's best sporting moment...as a nation but on a personal level, what means more to you?

To me....a Premiership, I love the Tigers and have for a very long time.

Won't happen of course but I agree with those who say it would be Australia's greatest sporting moment.

As for the Socceroos being sh*t, well they are ranked about 19/20 in the world and have been in the top 20 for the majority of the past 4 years.

i hate soccer, IMO its the most boring ball sport in the world, how its gained such a following is beyond me, interesting that the 2 big new countrys (America/Australia) dont follow it.

id prefer my team to win on the weekend TBH.
