The ref was better than average BUT he did give Broncos a few 6 agains for ruck interference which I couldn't see whereas Broncos laid all over us and we couldn't buy one. After Flanagan's outburst last week maybe they are being slightly less showing bias against the lesser teams (for at least 1 week anyway before resuming normal behaviour).

Russell put Staggs in his pocket last night. Defensively he is up there with the great Tom Opačić.
He played damn tough. His D was top shelf. Is developing a good combination with Fox.
His Rhinos mate surprised the sh*t out of me last night. He's definitely had an epiphany. Ryles may yet thur him into a good centre. We still need some Roger Fabri in the off season.

Russell was good and as centre who shuts things down, I tip my hat. We need the the 6 and 1 to do attack things around him cos he doesn’t seem to have a LB or a LBA in him. Hey, maybe that’s just fine for JR ?

I think Ryles has shown he values effort, attitude, and teamwork very highly.

A player like Sean Russell is not as gifted as, say, Viliame Penisini - but he does his job with no fuss, and the attacking threats can come from Addo-Carr, and (when fit), Kautoga.

Russell was excellent in shutting down Staggs last night.

He's a valuable player.

Look I don’t get the Lomax criticism. Sure he has made errors but Jesus Christ the bloke does it because he is trying too hard.

His game last night was his best for us in my opinion and I don’t care about stats. He did so much hard stuff and the bloke gets absolutely BASHED every game and he is no pea heart, he puts his hand up for more.

Silly decisions at times or not, that guy is an absolute workhorse and I love him for it. His tough stuff paves the way for others to shine.
I always thought of JAC as the kind of winger who only plays well in a strong team. I assumed he would disappear in our struggling side but he's been awesome.
Our two wingers chased the game last night. They didn’t sit back and wait for others to send stuff their way. They chased the win.
