Hey guys i saw most of the under 20s second half and this guy is the goods. He was wearing the 12 jersey but in the 2nd half was playing centre. Every run he made he seemed to be getting over the advantage line and making big plays when he found some space. The last try I saw of his he fended off a player Inglis style and beat something like another 2 or 3 defenders to the line. The kids only 17 now but hes looking great. BTW i hope all these rumours in this post about Cantebury and Cronulla arent true.

I was only TEASING. These Clubs seem to use the Eels for recruitment

If it's the Hayne Train and Loko is the locomotive who will be the Tender that's feeding him coal if indeed it's of the steam powered variety?

The Murray-nation?
The Burticle?
The Mannah-man?

Sorry, I can't think of anything :(

Young Loko showed today V Auckland he is not a second rower, and has a long long long long way to go before he is an NRL player.
I thought he was ordinary (bloody ordinary as a matter of fact) in a badly beaten team that lacked skills. Loko did not WANT to get involved. Seemed a little 'gun shy' against the big Auckland players, firstly when he was in the pigs, and later as one of the centres..

he's U/18 SGBall player this year, who the hell said he was gonna be a NRL player next year ?

he was up against guys 2 years older and bigger than him, how can you possibly make an informed decision based on that ?

he went alot better in the back line in the second half, seems more comfortable there than in the back row

The whole team looked out of their depth, the Warriors side was bigger,Stronger, faster and also smarter. Our halves and Hooker looked rubbish, no help for the top side there. But the Warriors look a pretty hot side.

If you ACTUALLY read the post you will see that I posted Young Loko showed today V Auckland he is not a second rower, and has a long long long long way to go before he is an NRL player.

Definitely NOT ME...I said he has a long long long long way to go....That doesn't indicate NEXT YEAR...to me. Does it to you?
BTW .....If he is NOT aiming to play NRL, he should look at other sports options as he is wasting everyone's time

Gee, I guess Twizzle's golden child is immune to criticism then huh?

Jacob had a bad game, looked very dis-interested.
But Twizzle has a point, and it's the same with the rest of our team; it's not that we are necessarily lacking in talent, it's that our whole team is very young and in-experienced compared to the rest of the NYC teams. Loko is very young, he likely just isn't really used to NYC yet (but he still carves them up on his day).

I agree in principle though. It's basically the sum up of our NYC season unfortunately :(

I agree that Loko is very young. The only way you can get experience is by getting it. He is a couple of years off the pace - at least
I also thought that he wasn't interested in the game today. Looked like he wanted to be as far away from the Stadium as possible.

AND I am NOT criticising him. He is obviously a player of immense potential

Unfortunately, Mateo also has potential, but very lazy and does not seem interested in most games.

From what i've heard now, it appears he's very much inbetween Hayne and Mateo - when he tries and puts in he'll be absolutely brilliant. When he clicks off, he goes MIA.

I do eventually expect him to hit first grade, but I also expect that he'll be just as inconsistent as Mateo.

From what I've heard/seen about Loko, he's only had a very few bad games this year. From what I reckon, that's incredible from a player who is far younger than most other NYC players.
His potential seems to be limitless, much like Mateo and Hayne, but he has been a bit lazy at times. However, I feel that once our NYC team hits form (hoping for next year, considering our recruitment we should do very well), he will keep up the spark and will be in the mix for a call-up;
on that note, I believe he is far too young for a call-up, but from what I've heard from Stagger is that he is being prepared for first-grade experience next year.
Problem I see with that is that he has Ken Sio ahead of him, but I reckon giving both Sio and Loko a chance (if we can risk it, or if injuries occur) would be a good idea.

However, Loko is still too young; I mean, even for one of the youngest players in the NYC he *still* kills most teams that are older than him, but I think assuming he could then make the jump to NRL after his very first year in NYC might be a bit strange. I don't know though; apparently Parra want to do it, and if it works out then I will bow down and worship them.
However, I would like to keep Burt, Reddy, Tahu and Grothe in the first-grade squad; but I will say, if you paired Tahu and Loko in the centres, Grothe and Burt on the wings, if they played to their potential (and again assuming Loko copes with NRL) they would be the most devastating back 5 in the competition.
