Unfortunately, Mateo also has potential, but very lazy and does not seem interested in most games.
From what i've heard now, it appears he's very much inbetween Hayne and Mateo - when he tries and puts in he'll be absolutely brilliant. When he clicks off, he goes MIA.
I do eventually expect him to hit first grade, but I also expect that he'll be just as inconsistent as Mateo.
From what I've heard/seen about Loko, he's only had a very few bad games this year. From what I reckon, that's incredible from a player who is far younger than most other NYC players.
His potential seems to be limitless, much like Mateo and Hayne, but he has been a bit lazy at times. However, I feel that once our NYC team hits form (hoping for next year, considering our recruitment we should do very well), he will keep up the spark and will be in the mix for a call-up;
on that note, I believe he is far too young for a call-up, but from what I've heard from Stagger is that he is being prepared for first-grade experience next year.
Problem I see with that is that he has Ken Sio ahead of him, but I reckon giving both Sio and Loko a chance (if we can risk it, or if injuries occur) would be a good idea.
However, Loko is still too young; I mean, even for one of the youngest players in the NYC he *still* kills most teams that are older than him, but I think assuming he could then make the jump to NRL after his very first year in NYC might be a bit strange. I don't know though; apparently Parra want to do it, and if it works out then I will bow down and worship them.
However, I would like to keep Burt, Reddy, Tahu and Grothe in the first-grade squad; but I will say, if you paired Tahu and Loko in the centres, Grothe and Burt on the wings, if they played to their potential (and again assuming Loko copes with NRL) they would be the most devastating back 5 in the competition.
