i'll trust the police statement over anonymous AM radio caller thanks.

dickheads start a fight, resist arrest and need to be sprayed and tasered for the police's safety.... and i'm the asshole somehow for not feeling sorry for him
Keep twisting.
Its one thing supporting the police in this situation.
Its another making a joke of someones death.
Two very different things.

No surprise there.
But Danish, I think you've let yourself down a bit. Reading stuff you've posted previously suggests you're post might be a bit out of character. Let's hope so ay.
Face some facts sh*t for brains if the guy and his mates weren't being f**k wits, fighting with the cops he'd be still breathing. And what if it was one the cops or another patron that was injured or killed because of this dick head would that be acceptable for you? And why would a cop need to taser someone after being handcuffed? Oh I know he was still being a dick head.

Frothing at the mouth a little?
I made no comment at all re the incident in question, you overlooked that in your hysterical rant.

I suppose you've never laughed at the thousands of jokes that circulate after any celebrity deaths then?

let's be deadly serious about this.

apart from dying mid-nasty, how else would you like to go out?

expiring after seeing your team finally win one after 30 years would be fair enough for me.

if we'd won 15-25 years ago, i would have marched into the local cop shop & demanded a good tasering.

on the junk.

Problem is they dropped the height and weight restrictions for police back in the 80's and now at the slightest sign of trouble they bring out the tasers and capsicum spray. Bring back the 6 foot copper, the F150's and incidents like this won't happen anymore.

Probably a good idea. I saw two yesterday outside the stadium, one guy looked 15 and would have weighed about 65kgs and the other was a girl that looked fresh out of school.

Geez, a really sad incident to a wonderful day for Dragons fans. Sadly, police are armed with weapons such as tasers, capsicum spray and pistols because they are the ones who have to continually respond when humans ditch the rules of society and cause problems. So rather than bag the Police, lets be thankful that they were there doing their job. As was already said, to use tasers meant the situation was more than just a punch up.

Let the story of what happened emerge. I can only guess why - in such a happy occasion - there was a fight in the first place.

Condolences for the family.

And to those finding humour in this - I'm a fan of black humour (aka Why do Storm players have their names on the back of their jumpers? So they can be identified when floating in a harbour), but let the family bury the poor sod first, ok?

A man who died in hospital after being subdued by police when a fight broke out at the St George Leagues Club last night following the Dragons' NRL grand final victory was also hit with a baton, police revealed today.
Assistant Commissioner Mark Murdoch, commander of the Central Police Region, named the dead man as Steven Bosoevski, 35, from Arncliffe.
Assistant Commissioner Murdoch told a press briefing today that he had watched CCTV footage from the club to review what had happened.

He confirmed that the club bar was packed and there had been a lot of drinking.
He said a fight had broken out between two men at the bar, and it appeared to spread.
Security guards who had been watching the group before the fight tried to intervene, he said.
Then, police officers who were at the club to head off any trouble, also stepped in, equipped with batons, capsicum spray and Taser stun guns, said Assistant Commissioner Murdoch.
He said Mr Bosoevski was struck with a police baton during the altercation. He did not say where he was hit.
Capsicum spray was also used and a number of people were affected, including Mr Bosoevski.
"This is a tragedy all round, obviously for the family, for St George Football Club and for the police involved," Mr Murdoch said.
He said when police drew their batons and used them to control the fracas, a number of people were struck, and that might have included one of the club's security guards.
Mr Bosoevski was taken to St George Hospital where he died early today.
Another man who was on the floor of the club was hit with a police Taser.
But Mr Murdoch denied reports that this man had been Tasered while handcuffed.
He said that a critical incident team had been established to investigate and that the matter was now in the hands of the coroner.
The coroner would decide how Mr Bosoevski died and whether it was in any way related to what happened to him at the club and whether the police might or might not have used excessive force.
He said that a number of people were assisting police with their inquiries.
Police said that until the incident at the club, there had been very little trouble at the club or elsewhere in the city.
"The night was handled very well by the St George Leagues Club," Assistant Commissioner Murdoch said. "Up to that point, everything was going very well."

Channel 9 reported that witnesses have come forward and said that the guy who died wasn't just pepper sprayed but was also tasered twice while hand-cuffed.

I saw some footage of one of the witnesses. She was still drunk and could hardly speak without slurring. Not gonna fly imo.

Look on the bright side, one less dragon fan. And what would you do if you were a cop and seen a dragons fan after a GF win??? You would wanna beat the sh*t out of him a give him a good tasering. You can't blame the cop for what comes natural

Dickhead got angry.
Dickhead got whacked to death by police.
What's there to lament over? He died a loser?

It's a rare day that we'll ever see eye to eye on anything, but you've got this spot on.
