Keep your fantasies to yourself. Some of us are trying to eat.Recent history tells us if Crowe gets someone alone in a room, it's tough to say no to him.
I read a while ago Crowe was keen on an expierienced coach with a proven track record of success. Those 3 were mentioned. IMO Bennett is the most likely, then Sheens, then Bellamy. One of them will be coaching us to our 21st or 22nd premiership.
Wayne Bennett. I've heard it from some very good sources, the contract is all but signed. As soon as the season is finished it will be announced. You heard it here first.
we don't want henjak!Everyone knows the sharks will be circling if the Broncos get off to a bad start.
Thanks for that, always like to be appreciated. You are the single biggest legend on this forum.
Yes except the rumours have persisted since then. It wasn't a one off. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Bennett has already agreed to a deal with Souths.Ok, that's fair enough that you read it in the same article as everybody else 6 months ago.
So, basically, this next post is a pile of trash:
lol you can't even keep up with the garbage you write.
I've heard that Bennett has a hell of a lot of time for Price. Wasn't he one of the only assistant coaches he kept when he first came? I had also heard from some sources that Bennett wants to poach him if he goes to another club. For continuity with the current squad, it might be sensible to give Price a couple of years. If he is the quality that Bennett thinks he is, a guaranteed NRL Head Coaching job might just keep him. Especially at a recent premiership winning club.
Has Bellyache had a falling out with the CEO like Bennett and Cullen did? That's probably the most likely scenario. But it wasn't that long ago that Broncos fans would have laughed at the possibility of Bennett coaching anywhere else. If he could leave them Bellamy can leave the Storm.
Your recent history, maybe. Tell me, which room was it? The toilet cubicle that SBW and Candice Falzon steamed up?Recent history tells us if Crowe gets someone alone in a room, it's tough to say no to him.
So Souffs will wait until Creping Jesus retires before approaching everyone else? What if that's after all other coaches are locked up except Tugger Coleman?Bennett obviously is plan A, but if he retires or something, Bellamy and Sheens will be plan B.
Wow! What a revelation! You mean, Every other coach wants either an untried coach or an old hack with nfi (Apart from the Chooks that is)I read a while ago Crowe was keen on an expierienced coach with a proven track record of success.
Bellamy? He has achieved nothing, apart from a Souffs style record in Origin. Those 3 were mentioned. IMO Bennett is the most likely, then Sheens, then Bellamy. One of them will be coaching us to our 21st or 22nd premiership.
He could have a chance at winning a premiership at a third NRL club.Could posters please stop saying he could have the chance of winning a premiership at a third club?
He already has premierships at three clubs in Souths (Brisbane), Brisbane and St. George-Illawarra. If anyone wants to argue the point perhaps they'd like to argue it with Wayne himself.
fmd...alwaysgreen makes a good point. He could have a chance at winning a premiership at a third NRL club.
What's your problem? thommo4pm speaks like he knows exactly what is going on in Bennett's head and you have a go at me? I'm just speaking about hypotheticals, speculating (like everyone else has) and using some common sense.
The NRL is the ARL from 95 to 97 and the NSWRL from 1908 to 1994. The records have been maintained. Everything since 1908 counts...from the NSWRL. Not Queensland.so souths have none then?
Ok fair enough, he lives in Wollongong. But people going on about his privacy, I don't see how there is all this privacy everywhere but Sydney.
Even if he lived in Sydney, I don't see Bennett getting himself into some kind of nightclub scandal...
so souths have none then?
Even though you seem to regard it as an impossibility, what will you say in the event that he does come to Souths? Or does your arrogance make it impossible for you to even imagine that. He's been living down in the Illawarra, not really in Sydney.
It's been a well known issue he has been missing his family.
He always wanted to coach the Dragons, this he has publicly advised many St George people, he followed them growing up.
No such desire to do the same with Souths.
I'm not acting like I know him at all, I'm stating facts that have been published.
Going to Redfern is smack bang in the middle of Sydney.

My point was, even in Sydney footy players/coaches only have their privacy invaded if they ask for it. If they go out and make fools of themselves in some kind of scandal. You'll notice that you don't read a word in the gossip section of the paper about 90% of our players. The ones that behave themselves don't get attention. Bennett obviously behaves himself, he won't be getting attention. He won't have his privacy invaded. You idiot....who ever had any thought of him getting into a night club scandal.
So that's the only way he'd get media attention is it?
