4 minutes into the Parra game, this is EXACTLY f**king why forward passes should be able to go to the video. Don't give me some bullsh*t about camera angles, that was a blatantly obvious good pass.

We have the benefit of the doubt rule to cover for when you can't see the ball or can't quite make out separation, why are forward passes given this nonsense treatment.

have a look at it Harrigan. Do the right thing.

I was ok with the call really. I could see why people might not like it but its not as big a deal as its being made out to be.

It wasn't a forward pass, and Parra would have been at least 4 - 0 up to start the game... how is it not a big deal, because Souths won by 14?

I know everyone is saying I'm thinking this way because it was against Souths but that's not true.

It wasn't even close to being backwards. No exaggeration it went 5 metres forward. And saying it only floated forward is bullsh*t, Hayne wasnt running forward quickly! It went 5 metres (no exaggeration) forward. It wasn't a line ball, it wasn't a grey area. It was blatantly forward. If that's not a forward pass we need to get rid of the rule.

And I'd think the exact same way if it was a Rabbitoh throwing that pass.

No exaggeration? That is a massive f**king exaggeration, if you seriously think in your screwed up head that ball went 5 metres forward you seriously need to get your head checked, it went 2-3 metres forward at the most, and that was floating forward.

How far it floated forward is not what is used to determine whether or not it is a forward pass, it is the direction in which it leaves the hands, it left Hayne's hands backwards and floated forward there for it is a fair pass.

It left Hayne's hands backwards and floated forward, under the rules of the game that is not a forward pass it was a fair pass for a fair try.

Lol BM are you aware it's how the ball leaves the hand that determines a forward pass?

Hayne was running more sideways than forwards. The "pass backwards but floats forward" bs only happens when the passer is running forward and running fast. That ball did not go backwards. It did not go backwards out of his hands, it did not go backwards midway, it did not go bakcwards at the end of the pass. It went forward and only forward. This isn't the bloody JFK assassination magic bullet.

Watch the replay (like I did). He passed it on the 10 metre line, it was caught halfway between the 10m line and the tryline.

It was the wrong call. A blatant error. It was a perfect cutout pass really. In saying that and importantly because I'm an Eels fan, I'd rather decisions like this go against my side than have video refs having a say on forward passes like they used to.
