Sorry Rylesy, but Conn must stay

This guy adds so much value to our team. He's ultra reliable, hard working, doesnt miss tackles, and runs hard and smart lines in attack.

But...more than anything he adds some much much needed mobility to our forward pack.

Kennedy, JWH, Mose and FPN are all big blokes and deserve their spots in the side. And Conn compliments them perfectly IMO.

So sorry Ryles but i dont see you getting back into our full strength 17.

Agree. With Kennedy Mose and JWH rampaging, Ryles doesn't really add much. He won't be here next year.

The improvement of the team with Conn was there to see, he is another Yak. I actually thought JWH did better starting than Ryles has done this year but I'm still willing to give Ryles the benefit of the doubt because he came good last year. I'd rather have this problem than the one we had in 2009 of not having anyone to bring in. Give them a taste and keep them hungry.

Where is Linnett???

I thought Linnett was dropped cause he wasn't making enough of an impact and we had too many light backrowers. Smith said in the preseason that he may move Aubusson to the centres to accommodate another backrower. Don't think Linnett will make it back unless injuries occur to SKD or Aubs.

Yeah I assumed he was just dropped, not injured. I reckon Aubusson should be a backrower but you guys are overflowing with them anyway I guess.

I think Linnett was injured; he wasn't named in the Newtown side this week. And I agree Aubusson is a much more effective back-rower then in the centres.

So was Ryles actually dropped or did he get injured? I think his footy days are long gone if you ask me...

Ryles had a lower back injury, he was close to playing today but backs are a sketchy thing to muck around with.

Aubs goes alright in the centres. Certainly wasn't complaining about his effort today. And back in the Freddy coaching days he was our best centre by far

Smith has wanted to coach Ryles his whole career.

Do you morons really think he is going to drop him for Conn?

The only way Ryles will get dropped is if it is for one week because Smith can't help himself when it comes to playing mind games.

Yo Brian... you're a football coach not a psychology major.

Thanks for that. Now f**k off.

On to the topic at hand, I thought Linnett was injured? IMO he thoroughly deserves his spot in the side.

The line-up I would have, at full strength:

1. Minichiello
2. Perrett
3. Kenny-Dowall
4. Linnett
5. BJ Leilua
6. Carney
7. Pearce
8. Kennedy
9. Friend
10. Hargreaves
11. Anasta
12. Aubusson
13. Myles

14. Watts
15. Nuuausala
16. Ryles
17. Masoe

Arona is cover for Nuuausala (ballplaying forward). Symonds is cover for Anasta and Aubusson (fringe running backrower). Conn is cover for Ryles and Kennedy (grinding prop). Tasi is cover for Masoe and Hargreaves (impact prop).

Justin Carney is cover for the outside backs. Riddell is cover for hooker/halves (Watts can shift into the halves if need be, too).

Might as well include JCarney in that full strength lineup, if he keeps up the the way he played yesterday Perrett may find it very hard to slot back in when he comes back, or at the expense of Leilua.
