Storm v Rabbitohs LIVE on Channel 9
1/06/2011 8:38:20 PM
Melbourne Storm fans will have the chance to watch their team LIVE this Sunday, as Storm’s clash with the Rabbitohs is broadcast Channel Nine from 3pm.
Not only will Storm fans be able to watch their team battle for their ninth win of the season, the game also marks the first time the team will come up against club favourite, Greg Inglis.
Inglis has been named in the Rabbitohs team after being sidelined with an injury that also ruled him out of Queensland's Origin I team.
Sunday’s game will be the fourth time NRL has been shown live into Melbourne this season, with Storm’s Round 6 match against Penrith broadcast live, along with the Test match and State-of-Origin I.
Storm CEO, Ron Gauci, said the club is delighted that members and fans are able to watch Rugby League live on Channel Nine in Melbourne.
“It is excellent to see another Storm game broadcast live in Melbourne and we are delighted with Channel Nine’s commitment to Melbourne Storm and Victorian rugby league fans,” Gauci said.
“We look forward to continuing to work with Channel Nine on broadcasting more Storm games live into Melbourne in the second half of the season.
“We see this growing commitment by Nine to live coverage in Melbourne as an important step in continuing to develop a strong following of the game in Victoria.”
Melbourne Storm encourages fans and supporters to show how passionate the city is about their team and rugby league by tuning in on Sunday to vote with their remote.
