Haha right back at ya bud because if for some reason you want to bring up choking in thsoe specific games/tourny yours was much worse though since you were three consective WC champions going in and didn't make it out of the quarter finals and then were crusing in the final innings before collapsing to defeat:lol:. So no idea why you would bring that up.
That is very funny but if we went by your logic that wanting something really really badly and not getting it equals choking then the kiwis would choke so much I'd reckon they have an asphyxiation fetish.

But cricket is a funny game, one day you are losing to minnows by 7 runs for the first time since the mullet was cool, then you find yourself flogging the 2nd best team in the world by nearly 300 runs with 4 down....Well funny for some, NZ don't get a lot of fun times.

And you drew with a team that gets to pull on probably a similar or less amount of players then your major state sides like QLD, NSW or VIC.. And the 8th ranked team int he world at that, lucky those Indians are over there to get your confidence back up.

And NZ is so sh!t you'll cling to a drawn series like you've actually won something.

Wasn't a big choke whn that team went onto the tournament. No not getting excited over those performances, just pointing out that into response of calling our teams shit when we came up against each other, the perfect opportunity to show us our terrible we and much better you are you couldn't do so at home. If we are so bad surely you should ahve thrashed us in Hobart then huh.

So, by that logic, are you saying that the New England Patriots didn't choke when they went through the whole NFL season undefeated (18-0) in 2007, only to lose the Superbowl (to a team, NY Giants, who only just scraped into the wildcard playoffs with 10-6 record)?

No doubt it was a bit of a choke. But I think the fact that the team going into the tourny had lost 5-6 staright or something and weren't expected to do anything meant that it was viewed more of a fairytale rather than a choke. Martin Crowe the best batsman in the tourney injurying himself in the final was the beginning of the downward spiral there.

That just say a lot about your side then huh. Couldn't beat a team which is so shit apperantly.

Anomalies occur and they don't really prove much. Consistency is what matters and consistency leads to Australia being ranked 3 while NZ are ranked 8.

Our team is on the up and up (well I hope) so although we have been terrible at Test cricket for a good 5-6 years now I like to think its on its way to positive change.

They did, a first test win in Australia since the 80's. Thats an achievement. Especially for the 8th ranked side in the world.

he wouldn't even go back to help after the Tsunami

he was scum
Massive racist as well. Pretended to support the Raiders as well lol

However, regarding WCs, the biggest choke for NZ was in 1992. Home ground advantage throughout the tournament, winning their first 7 games, and then lost back-to-back games against Pakistan to get bundled out. The look on the NZ players' faces after Pakistan won that semi-final was priceless.

Choked again in 1999. Paki's smashed them by about 10 wickets chasing something big

Can you believe the guy put choke in the same sentence as "3 successive world cup champion"

I've seen this meltdown in The Simpsons

How was the crowd??? Glad the crowd didn't boo Clarkey like last year.

Yeah pretty good, nothing negative. They did seem to be riding Ponting a bit more though. Clarke will win some more admirers after that performance though.

Yeah, those pricks who boo'd should be banned for life. They're probably running around now claiming they've always been a Clarke fan.
