The question should be asked though that if Teo with a cleaner record is looking at three weeks for a first incident why was he not sent? Will Hollywood explain this or hide behind hyperbole as usual?

People need to learn you can't hit the head. Intent is irrelevant. Getting brain damage later in life has nothing to do with whether you were hit in the head on purpose or accidentally.

If you attempt a shoulder charge you do it knowing you're risking time on the sideline if you do it wrong.

Aim 10cm lower or quit doing it. Simple enough.

Section 15 of the NRL rules quite clearly states that any contact with the head, whether intentional, reckless or careless - it misconduct.

Doesn't get much clearer than that.

Personally I don't think he deserves 3-4 weeks maybe 1-2. I would say he hit Groat on the chin and knocked him out. Still think the Tigers should have been allowed to call on another player for Groat after he was ko'd.

I wish we went away from interchange all together and had subs like the old days, once you were replaced you were off the field for good.

To me, accidental contact with the shoulder is no different to accidental contact with the head. Both are just part of the dangerous aspect of the game and, unless we outlaw shoulder charges (which would be a farce and partially destroy the fabric of the game), will continue to be part of the game. As a part of the body that is fixed in position it is almost impossible to time an intentional shoulder to the head.

It was just a brutal rugby league tackle and part of the reason that we love to watch and play the game.

3-4 weeks for Te'o, but 1 week for Quinn who not only made contact with Sau's head with the shoulder in an earlier tackle, but also carried out pretty bad tackle making contact flush with the jaw, with a swinging arm, both feet off the ground and rushing out of the line to hit a player who didnt even have the ball.

Judiciary continues to bamboozle me.

Agree, he clocked him in the head, that's a penalty every day of the year, regardless of intent. If you go for a shoulder charge and get it wrong you are going to spend time on the sideline.
