At the end of the day the decision had pretty much zero impact on the game but it is quite amusing that everyone seems to be ok about it given the massive uproar when Manly were on the other end of a dodgy decision.

No it doesn't. It could imply that, or it could also imply that Manly have had a charmed run of late - as evidenced by the fact that you couldn't come up with any recent examples of calls not favouring them.
