I think we should be honest about a couple of things:-

1. Miller so far in first grade has been pretty much useless. He is far from a sure thing.
2. Ayshford was terrible last year and his worst attribute - his speed - is one of our squads biggest issues.

I don't see why Miller or Ayshford staying is great news.

Maybe both of them will get it together in the top grade but I'm not confident of it happening.

Yet you rate Moltzen.

Mind boggles at your logic.

I think you guys will go ok now that Sheens is out of the picture.

Sheens played favourites, and would ignore better players in favour of those he liked. I'll give him credit for experimenting, but more often than not it didn't work and he stuck to it stubbornly.

Miller is as good as any young half in the NYC and better than most. How he handles the transition to first grade will be key.

Especially if he's given an Adam Reynolds "Just kick and organise" type role. That will free Benji up to run riot. Benji is an awesome five-eighth, but an absolutely rubbish halfback.

Ayshford is still a very 'meh' kind of player. There are plenty of better centres out there on similar money. You should sign one of them instead.

Week after week you make up excuses for Moltzen's shithouse performances, but you're ready to write off Miller on the back of the odd game or two in first grade.

lol.

I just responded to the good old Moltzen argument.

I'm not writing Miller off but he hasn't performed once in first grade and the excuses have been flying every time. I wish him well and hope he turns into a gun.

Good thing I put that membership renewal on hold.
Judas craven. Support your team through thick and thin, not because they are winning.

Where did you get winning or losing from his post?
Its clear he wouldnt be happy with the club allowing our only 7 to walk away, thats his point....Im pretty sure

Miller has had 2 games at halfback in 2 years in the NRL.
Furthermore, the last genuine 7 we had at halfback in first grade under Sheens was Mat Head.

Give the kid a f**king chance. Under a new coach who has at least half a brain compared to Sheens, we will see Miller get some game time and will be able to judge him upon that.

Ayshford spent a huge amount of his playing time this year in the back row in some sort of weird arsed Sheens-created position which just saw Ayshford and Lawrence constantly being isolated.

the halves being f**ked around saw Ayshford and Lawrence get no quality ball all year.

2011 is what Ayshford does.

2012 is a complete write off.

I agree with you on something yay.

It will be interesting to see which armchair pundits were right and wrong with regards
to whether Miller is going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, now Sheens
no longer stands in his way.

Two games he's had at halfback.

Two f**king games!

Miller like Humble was never given a long enough stint in the #7 to settle in the team,Sheens persisted with Benji at 7, probably thinking he still would be coach next year and that Anasta would be his 5/8.

2 games
6 games - 2 from the bench, a couple of them 20 & 10 min stints ...whoopee

What have you expected of him , based on ''what we have seen so far."?

I have no expectations of him. I'm just stating that some players come into the top grade and look good from the start. He has definitely not been that player.

He might take longer to get his footings. He might turn into a gun halfback. He might be Lazarus mark 2. I hope Potter has another option or two in the halves ready to go.

I think we might be okay in the halves though assuming Benji performs and we get some speed in the backs. I'm concerned about the backrow though - Fulton, Anasta and Blair are not exactly going to be busting the line and working us out of our own end.

Sounds like youve had quite a few expectations

Why make this point if you had no expectations?

Coz youre a troll....youre so easy, found out every time

And how much time did Koroibete spend on the paddock in each of those games?

It's not about games played, it's about minutes played.

Miller has looked extremely ordinary in first grade. I don't think he even had the greatest year in NYC despite their success but if he is to be given the initial crack at number 7 in the top grade, he needs an entire off season there and to know his job is safe for at least the first few months. He is still a young kid and could be years off being a quality first grade half.
