If true it explains why we pulled out of Thurston. A swap for Johnson? I wonder why he would go there to play behind Leuluai & Johnson. He has more chance of getting our 7 jersey. We all know Elliott hated Sammut because of the same traits Johnson shows. So Johnson gets a release Ivan snaps him up? Please be so.

Would be dissapointed if Harry left us, would be stoked to get Johnson but what kind of move would that be for the Warriors??? I cant see Johnson leaving, their fans would burn down Mt Smart.

:lol: Yeah, releasing the (not-so-distant) future Kiwis halfback and most rated player we've produced since Stacy Jones would be utter insanity. It won't happen.

This rumour of signing Harry seems strange indeed. I do know Elliot has been hunting for halves cover, and we were looking into Trent Hogkinson previously.

But I am not exactly sure why?

We have Thomas Leuluai and Shaun Johnson as obvious starters.

Feleti Mateo, Pita Godinet, Carlos Tuimavavae and Jerome Ropati (Elliot's opinion; not mine) as depth. Really not sure what Elliot has planned here, tbh. If Harry does come, surely he'd want to be guaranteed a realistic chance of regular first grade...

Perhaps a trade for one of our other players - not Johnson?

Remember Sammut? Elliott hates fancy ego type players. On the eve of meeting with Thurston the plug was pulled. Now this?

Something's fishy we have Walsh who has a decent game one in 5. Coote fullback with question marks on his defence. Austin probably better suited to lock and Tuamata not got the organisation skills to run a side. So we needed Seijka. So why let him go

Many thought Graham and Sammut where our future (Graham still is a future Origin player). Elliott didn't and let both go.

He had only Walsh in front of him it's very strange to release him and for him to go there

He may of been overrated but he was a definate talent. 3 or 4 years of Walsh and we're letting talented young halves go.

Rugby League Week (fb page) is reporting that the roosters have granted Nose Masoe a release to join us. I

If true, I like it a lot! Good young, powerful forward.

Decent signing. I assume he came pretty cheap. Still not sure we need another forward. Though he strengthens our top 17 it prob has more positives then negatives.

I think another solid Prop was needed, As soon as Grant was out last season we looked really thin upfront.
