Finally a common sense decision.

Now the media is crying poor and that Mitch Johnson is a tad unlucky.

Pfft...

Once things for certain, for every stroke that Hughes plays in this game, BunniesMan will match him.

Depends how Starc goes though doesn't it?

If he goes 0 for 280 I doubt that people will cry, but if he takes 8 wickets in the match there may be rioting.

He can take 8 or 20 wickets for the match, they can always say has a "niggling injury" and needs to be rested

of course if Hilfy bowls badly, he could be the one to go

hope im wrong though, but i get the feeling notch will play at least another test this summer

Paines me to type it, but i agree with Locky.

Test cricket especially, Wade's a better limited overs player for mine.

Pretty much, him or Nevill are the best two options considering both are exceptional keepers and can bat. Hartley is the best pure gloveman but his batting leaves a bit to be desired. Wade suits T20 and ODI's though.

He should have been nowhere near the side in the first place.

Damn straight

Won't be long before Scissorhands costs Australia another test. Paine will be back.

Time Paine has 95 runs @ 15.83 in the Sheild this year. Do you think he'll ever add to that 1 first class century he has to his name.

Pull your f**ken heads in.

Yep. Paine is a bigger myth than Johnson.

If it wasn't for his bright blue eyes and sandy blonde locks he would never have played for Australia.

Bunniesman is going to have some serious forehead bruising and a broken hand by the time Hughes walks out to bat

I played against Hughes in Sydney grade cricket in 2006. He was in good form then, but was woeful against genuine swing bowling.

This has been an issue he's always had. He either stays back too long and tries to play defensively off the back foot, or he pushes hard too early and fast at the start of his innings. Even after all the talk of his improved technique, he is still very low in confidence against swing bowling. That's why Martin dominated him so much.

He's lucky he never had to face Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, his test average would struggle to reach double figures.

Why we even talking about Tim Paine??

Wade will be the keeper long term (at least till the ashes series and beyond, form/injury pending)

and they have stated if Wade gets injured this season, Haddin comes right back in

from reports, Hobart will be a seamers deck. Rain forecast first 4 days

Lets see how Hughesy goes.

Id prefer Khawaja on these sorts of decks, has proven it in a couple of digs this year
