I don't mind that Stuart has given players plenty of notice to look elsewhere or step up and at least he is letting those on the chopping block play for redemption or to get a contract at a new club.
There really aren't too many options when Hayne is injured and Loko has been dropped. Anyway it seems that the rest of the year isn't about fielding our current best 17 from week to week but rather working out who stays and who goes. It's better than seeing someone who people are writing off now going elsewhere and everyone screaming - why did we let him go.

Me too. Should definitely keep the Eels in contention for the wooden spoon. Plenty of teams go through a long season winning nothing...

Why isn't say Daniel Harrison or Kenny Edwards ahead of Matiua? Surely those two would be much more motivated to play well for a future contract than the guy who refused to play last week.

I take it there might be some doubt in Pritchard's fitness? Probably will spend a week in Wenty and be back next week.
