I have no inside info.
I have no relation to any board member.
But today must be the day Mr Price is releaved of his dities.
It is NOT the amount off loss, albeit it was ugly.
It was his consistent approach to playing people out of position, and
employing a game plan that results to a zero scoreline.
In addition, as per any corporation, Mr Doust must now address the fact that we are a laughing stock. I never cast assertions on coaches or CEO's before, if so it was in gest. WE are now at the crossroads. Bottom line, we can blame players, refs, etc... It ends up in the lap of the board.
My hero may be turning over in his grave... R Stone. Wish we had half his heart. I feel sick and cant see an immediate solution.

"We need to have a good look at ourselves," Price said.

"I think the bye has come at a good time.

"The boys get away and clear their heads and get back to training and strip it back and get back to basics and simplify it.

"I told the boys we are going through a bit of a difficult time.

"It's all about hanging tough now and supporting each other."

In other words. "I have no f**king idea what to do"

Nrlnrl,,, i dont have the answer.
All i know is that change is needed.
I would never have thought this mighty club, with its merger benefits would be challenging for the spoon. It is a sad day in our history..
To lose with zip points again at Kogarah is sickening.
Good night and good luck...

..note to Doust, ring Tim Sheens tomorrow, interim coach for rest of the year. Next talk to Daniel Anderson for next year, you guys keep mentioning a Smith guy in Uk, don't know enough of him to comment, there are very few league coaches around, that's all i can see as options now...Plus..no way should we look at another rookie or mate of the players...

The name Steve Price brings shivers up my spine. He is the worst thing to happen to this club since he played five-eight for the Dragons.

It honestly doesn't matter if there is a replacement right now or not. Someone can fill in a do a better job with this team and we can wait it out until a coach comes along as they so often do.

Aha..... spot on mate.
Same fu... argument for too long.

A lot of us are seeing the mismanagement, however the apologists will be onto us soon. Negative my ass, what's going in at the club is a disgrace. When people screw up in their job 90 percent of the time they are called into answer questions. At kogarah your awarded with a few more years and a payrise.

Yes mate... doesnt mean we give up champ.
Our history, legacy and brand are way beyond any one person and / or board.

sending a message to the fans and players that it isn't good enough for our club. No more of this conservative, slow-death approach that we have all been enduring.

You forgot the old favourite: "Get away, clear their heads, spend a bit of quality time with their families"

This is it.

It is the accumulated effects of falseyfying the situation that has led to ingrained mediocrity becoming the mainstay of team culture.

Whilesoever our problems are excused by blaming them on injuries, bad luck on the field, a recalcitrant 5/8 (albeit one with a great kicking game) who couldn't be managed but had to be sacked , and now an ineffective defence assistant coach - we are just going to continue to accept them and get used to them.

That's the insipid danger of mediocrity.

His coaching credentials aside, it started last year when bewilderingly. Steve Price overlooked substandard performances week in week out and instead applauded their effort. I thought back then his game assessment could not be more off - that his positive spin was borderline delusional, but really, all it did was cloak his own inadequacies as an first grade Coach in the NRL.

Great sales job Steve Price - you sure fooled them!

Now, so long as they put in an effort, it seems it doesn't matter what the result is, because you'll be proud of the boys. Well, how proud are you of taking us to LAST PLACE ?!

The 'oh well' attitude has well and truly kicked in. And now, Steve Price says (post match press conference) "...taking a break, time away from footy over the bye period, (BBQ,s, surfing, maybe get some skiing in) relaxing with Family ...clear the head etc" is the answer. (my additions). And THEN some hardwork.

Now that's medicority!!!

....THAT'S BULLSHIT !!

Stupid Peter Doust for buying it!

No wonder we are soft. No wonder we are not even motivated to improve.

Where's the pride? Where's the passion??

I do not see men associated with the team hurting enough because of another embarrassing loss - especially led by one Steve Price.

Even if he is the lowest paid coach, I guess a qtr of a mil a year, even if you completely f**k everything up... is still a pretty good wage.

Who needs pride or passion when instead all you need to do is believe you're own positive spin.
