The last time I saw my Grandfather. I wrote an article about it

The first time I saw my wife, was at Sydney Central station, she had jeans and a pink figure hugging woollen jumper on. My first thought was "I have no f**king chance with her" and just decided then and there to just be her friend.
The time I broke some kids face with a bouncer in cricket, the whole thing happened in slow motion.
The time I had my knee and ankle utterly f**ked playing footy in a freak accident tackle.
The day my friend Tony died. He was 14, I was 13. I wrote about that too:

My first day living away from home.
My 6 months living in Alice Springs, visiting and learning all about Aboriginal cultures, and the impact white people have had on their lives, over many generations.
Finally getting to see Metallica live in 2010. I was still recovering from a broken ankle and had a shit day all day, but they made it all better.
The bushfires I fought in the country town I grew up in 1995-99. One in 1998 went for 3 weeks and I was only able to have 3 hour sleeps between shifts. I didn't see home for 10 days and had to get special compensation to sit my HSC exams, as I'd missed all of them due to the fires.
Helping a guy on a train in Brisbane who had chest pains. Everyone stood there looking at him. I stayed with him until the ambulance arrived. They informed me he had a stroke and was lucky I acted as quickly as I did. 6 months later and I got told I'd been made redundant, and on the miserable train ride home, I saw him and went and had a chat with him.
The day I found Rugby League Project. It created a great friendship and helped me stay sane and focussed and on a work routine, as I put in many hours of work on the site while I looked for work. Azkatro is a great friend.
When I was 7 and my parents told me that they were told my 5 year old sister had cancer. After months of seeing specialist and getting different opinions, she was flown to Sydney and had an operation where they found that the alleged cancerous lump was a non cancerous cyst which was lanced.
