Reynolds went a step back from 2012 (typical of second year players), but his 2012 form was absolute top tier. Keary is just potential right now.

Reynolds finished 3rd best #7 in '13 not counting the mardis gras . . . even counting the mardis gras . . . no reason why Keary can't make 5/8 his own and let Sutton add the uncertainty. The time is coming when every team will need a SBW type forward

Personally I don't get the Keary hype. I don't see too much in him. To say he's better than Reynolds is completely geniused.

I can't believe how people (a lot of Souths fans included) have gone cold on Reynolds over the last few months. Sure, his form dipped around the halfway point in 2013 but it's only because opposition coaches started to work him out. It's easy for a talented kid to make an impact in the NRL when they first come on the scene. It's also a known fact that many of them struggle in their second year as opposition coaches develop game plans to counter them.

Just because Reynolds has been worked out, doesn't mean he goes on the scrapheap. The challenge is set for him now to work with Maguire on a new plan. He needs to add some more strings to his bow and I'm sure the two of them know this and will work on this in the offseason. The fact that he didn't do this after round 13 isn't an indication that he can't do this, it's more of an indication that halfway through a season is not a time to tamper with your game plan. The preseason is the time to make these changes and I'm sure that this will be top of Madge's agenda come the new year.

If anything, the back end of last year should help him to become a better, more versatile player in 2014.

Personally, I think he can become a SOO half in the next few years. Talk of him being there this year was premature. I also think that Reynolds and Keary will be the halves combination at Souths going forward. Sutton has done a good job there but it's time to shift him into the back row. He was always a stop-gap half until something better came along imo. We are also at the point where we need his line breaking and offloading ability in the forwards. Our current pack is too predictable and non-creative.

With Sutton at 13 and Keary and Reynolds at 6 and 7 we look a better prospect imo. It's a far more dangerous attack.

Actually thought he improved on last year. He went quiet on some occasions but his running game this year evolved

Despite Pearce winning a premiership I still think Reynolds is the better half and deserves a shot at NSW with Maloney at 6

Coaches didn't work him out, he just started listening to the critics too much and ran the ball too much and got away from his natural strengths. It was more like Reynolds thought teams had him worked out so his kicking game suffered. Pretty standard for a second year halfback, DCE went through a similar form slump late last year

Reynolds played exactly the same in 2013 as he did in 2012, it was just finally everybody finally realised what those who actually know stuff about footy had been saying since round 1 last year; Reynolds had a kicking game and nothing else. He is shit. He will lucky to be playing first grade in 3-5 years

Broncos after Tautau Moga.

Most likely for 2015 season.

He's long been touted as the replacement for Justin Hodges by the Broncos club.

I think a lot will depend on how he returns from his double knee reconstruction next year as to how hard the Roosters will fight to keep him.
