Thats fine but why is he given more opportunity than Jennings? He was always a Winger/Fullback in this squad.
Jennings would of carved up Ireland and USA too don't you think?

You should be whinging more about the fact Tate was picked ahead of Jennings.

Because he's better than Jennings, plain and simple, now let's stop crying about what's been done.

Mate I love Hayne, he's reprisented my country of heritage.

The point I'm trying to make is Sheens never should of promised Jarryd anything apart fom, if selected he'd be given the same chance as anyone else to earn a starting spot. Jennings was given 1 game and played better than Hayne yet Hayne gets 2 more games to push a claim yet Jennings sits in the stands. Hayne carves up a couple walk-over teams and he gets Jennings or Morris spot!!

I'd hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist but sometimes I wonder if Sheens only picked Hayne so he wouldnt have to face a Bati team with Hayne because you put Hayne into that Fiji team, it's a different ball game.

It's a conspiracy theorists attitude alright.

Look, questionable decisions have been happening all over this tournament. Tim Sheens is our worst coach that I can remember. But just because Hayne has played more games then Jennings doesn't mean squat.

There could be many reasons why Hayne got more opportunities, but reverting to conspiracies is very immature.

Both players are deserving of starting positions. As was said before, the fact Tate was selected in front of all of them is the real question mark here.

Hayne hardly touched the ball in his first game out on the wing. When moved into the centres he played a lot better against the US then Jennings did a against Fiji, most notably instead of throwing two passes into the crowd he actually set up two tries. Jennings and Morris both got a chance to carve up teams they should have, and they didn't do it, Hayne did. It was hardly Jennings' or Morris' spot anyway, that right centre position was open game, and Hayne took the opportunity presented and has sealed that spot up.

I reckon Farah will be the bench utility, only because he'll want to give him one more match & he won't play him in the final unless Smith is injured.

Tate as a back rower is a new concept for Sheens. He's actually getting better. Usually he makes centres play as five eighth or prop.

At least back row is more similar to centre than the other 2 options

*you can't half tell i'm a tigers fan lol.

Agree. The crowd will be dead for this game. It won't be much of a contest, it doesn't have a home team to cheer for, and it has a hell of an act to follow.

How soon after the first game is this one kicking off?

Empty stadium for this one??

I imagine they put England/NZ first so families could come and then leave, but it's bemusing planning. What England or NZ fan would stick around to watch a foregone conclusion when they could be out:

a). Celebrating
b). Commiserating

I suppose the thinking was the crowd would be fill for the first game and stick around for the second, as opposed to rock up late for England if they were on second.

Just panned to a shot of the crowd. So many empty seats. Guess all the Poms and nearly all Kiwis left tge ground en masse. Another reason why this shouldve been the first game with the home team playing last.

That's what I said. Having England/NZ as the 2nd game would've been better for the crowd
England vs NZ should of been the main event not Fiji vs Aus. We all know Fiji has no chance so why are they the last match  good way to kill the atmosphere in the stadium specially now that England lost
