No doubt legal advice has been for Garvey to remain silent but the lack of any statement in his defense just makes it look grim

Very true... however... it must be said... if u are going to assault someone for no reason, as is claimed happened... then why the f@#k would garvey tell him "im gunna knock u the f@#k out" before hitting him??
Speaking from experience... wen i tell someone "im gunna knock u the f@#k out" its cause that person has really gotten under my skin and DESERVED it.
i know we dont know the full facts... but believe me.. 90% of guys that get knocked out DESERVE IT. There are the odd few morons that hit for no reason... but they dont warn the person first that they are going to knock them out.
Common sence would suggest Garvey was provoked... we will know in time.

Stopping short of someone sleeping with your missus, why would anyone belt someone in the face at all.It seems the in thing these days, and it says plenty where society has stooped so low to smash someones face in.

Unfortunately for Garvey ,if the other bloke didnt hit him or come at him ,he wont have much of an argument in his favour ,thats just the way things are now ,even if he was provoked verbally or even pushed that doesnt give him carte blanche to smack the other bloke in the head,im guessing that if the other guy did do something we wouldve heard about by now.

You are spot on. Punching another person says more about you than the person you are punching. It speaks of a false sense of machoism, unhealthy emotions, and primitive responses. When someone can't have one up on the other person using their brain, they lash out and beat them physically.

What if they are Cronulla supporters though?
Surely that's allowed...

No you see that's where sympathy comes in. Supporting the Sharks is a mild form of geniusation. They are disadvantaged from birth. You definitely should not hit someone so poor and unfortunate. Just leave them dribbling in the corner and walk away, safe in the knowledge that you will make into into heaven and they are already living in hell.

What is his future based on Rev ?
If not a judicial system, with eye witnesses, cameras, sworn testimony, then what...
I hope he is cleared and matter finished.
But there are no heroes here. On either side.
Time will tell.

Probably my point is that you cant assume Garvey is a criminal for throwing a punch (which is instantly assumed as soon as any star has any altercation), what do you think about the Worthington/Bingle situation? Does it depend on whos telling the truth? Sam could have ended up in jail for defending his GF, ridiculous.

Ive got no idea what went on at the pub, but I refer to you to Exhibit A, cage fighters dressed as Drag Queens who deck your typical a-holes who see an easy target annd attempt to mug them... cause hey... they wont fight back right?

Just heard on channel 7 that Garvey has been charged and goes to court on March 22 or 23 (can't remember exact date)

Charged for assault and affray. You'll hear it soon. Affray could carry a 10 year jail term. The end of a promising career.

Why did he go to the police station wearing a cap & t-shirt ? ( not sure whether he was hearing shorts or pants… )

I know it's not court, but not a good look for Craig Garvey or the club

Great observation nrlnrl. What a fu%#wit. No respect for the Police, the club, his team mates whom he has let down, his own family, the victim and the list goes on. No doubt it's a generational thing. A bit of National Service wouldn't go astray for this self centered tool. Yes I know all the do gooders and his like minded mates on facebook will say he's been hard done by and the cops are fools but he can f&#k off for all I care.
