The Souths backline

Auvaa and Walker are gems.

We need some wingers. We got a kid named Johnston who should be playing ahead of Merritt. And Goodwin does a decent job.

We're in the hunt for Ferguson or Hurrell next season.

We'll be right.

Is johnston the one that got done for taking stimulants??

The Souths backline of the 90's was better

2. Vaea Talai 3. Jacin Sinclair 4. David Penna 5. Mark McGaw

If Johnston comes along like he should and we get just one of Hurrell or Ferguson, along with Walker and Auvaa and suddenly we have quite an exciting 2-5.

In the modern game you simply can't have 17 stars in your team.

Nope that was Curtis, I'm thinking of Alex.

So what? As was said, Uate is one player out of 5 (plus he's not that bad). Surely as someone who is with MENSA, you should be intelligent enough to realise that 1 out of 5 backs doesn't make a bad backline? Oh that's right, you lied about being intelligent. Moving on...

Boyd is even more out of form, and Mcmanus is nothing special.

Gagai I rate and obviously Mullen is special but it's not the starstudded backline some Knights fans think it is.

Hahahahahahaha....

No wait...nope had it right the first time

Hahahahahahaha

Really want to go down that path?

1 Barba - His job is catching bombs and being the last line of defense, can't catch nor tackle
2 Vidot - Yeah,he has his good weeks but he also has the recessive Pommeroy gene
3 Hodges - About 5 years past his best football,is a warmed corpse,a puffer fish living on his rep alone, reminiscent of Lote T
4 Reed - Had one good year 2 years ago,has been barely servicable since
5 Copley - More like gumply, was held out of the team for a while by Maranta, nuff said

Then lets go to the halves which are also part of the backline

6 Hoffman - Can run hard,can catch,should be fullback
7 Hunt - LOL! If not for a decent boot wouldn't even be a paid to play football

That is Curtis Johnston, he plays for the Bears and he never took stimulants. He made a stupid joke on twitter and got sacked for it. But got his job back later when he was cleared

Alex Johnston is a very promising fullback/winger

He isn't top 5 but he is one of the best club wingers you could ask for. Great defender, good metres every game, safe under high ball, good finisher

I can say the mail is pretty confident that Merritt will be dropped for Alex Johnston this week

Madge has been slowly introducing younger players in throughout the season, instead of plodding them all in at once. Good strategy so far

Actually, the Brisbane backline is ordinary, but it's still a fraction better than Souths horrid options from 2-5.
Souths cannot expect to win a premiership with that lot. They can buy all the forwards in the world. A shit three quarter won't score enough points to win big matches.

if you have a Pack that goes forward and a Solid spine, 2-5 Really isn't that important.

Its the spines job to make them look good, As its the forwards job to make the spine look good.

Alex Johnston was voted best player and won MOTM against England in the same Australian Schoolboys side as Luke Brooks, Dylan Walker, Pauli Pauli, Mitchell Moses. Definitely has credentials. Looking forward to his debut

I do LOL at Souffs bagging McManus when Goodwin/Tuquiri/Merritt are their options! At least McManus can defend and isn't hopeless in attack.

Well hope he has a good debut and scores a double, let's see if all the hype back at the warren forums is real about this kid.

Fingers crossed. Hope he plays and hope he does well. We've been severely lacking in wingers for a while. We need some razzle dazzle.
