Making a Murderer

The bones were found in three different locations. The quarry, Steven Avery's fire pit, and in a barrel behind Scott Tadych's house. So they were obviously moved, the question is from and to where.

My theory is that her body was burned in the barrel in the quarry, the bones were dumped in the fire pit and the barrel was then placed behind Scott's house.

I've watched 3 episodes and I keep coming back to one point.

In one of the press conferences leading up to Steven's arrest for the murder, they made the point of saying that the no cops or sheriffs from Manitowoc County were involved in the search of the Avery home to avoid any preception of wrongdoing. But then a copper from Calumet County testified it was Colborn and Lenk who found the car key next to the cupbord they were searching?

Chook.

Yeah the officers from the other county were supposed to be watching the Manitowoc cops but the one escorting Lenk even admitted that he would have taken his eyes off him long enough for him to plant the key.

One of my favorite bits is the woman who discovered the Rav 4. Here you have this massive scrap yard and she makes a bee-line straight for it.

I'm the maddest about Dassey's case. I have seen f**king law and order episodes where the lawyer isn't present at an interview and they can't use the interview in court. It's a thing. And the whole entire thing that was organised by Len makes my blood boil. That bit where they make him draw the crime scene and after writing what he said multiple times, it gets changed because "I know you are lying to me". Absolute disgrace. And then the pig cries in the court as if he was family, HE WAS THE DEFENCE.

Whether he is guilty of the crime (the second one) or not this show is one of the most amazing pieces of television I've ever seen.

It literally puts all crime TV drama to shame as far as twists, dodgy cover ups, false evidence everything you could imagine goes.

Doesn't she say the lord led her there or something lol, rural america in a nutshell.

The first thing I thought when that fat scumbag lawyer was describing how they murdered the woman to the media (cutting her throat then shooting her in the head) was there was not a speck of blood anywhere at the crime scene. When they were showing scenes of Avery's trailer turned inside out there was no signs of blood, blood stains or anything.

lol yeah that's right.

I think they said that she just happened to be the only member of the search party who was given a digital camera too.
Yep, the only member of the search party given a camera who then becomes the first person to ask permission to go onto the property and then pretty much walks straight to the car in a yard full of thousands of cars.

A lot of people on social media reckon it was the woman's ex and possibly had help from her brother.

Her brother was suss as f**k to me. Right or wrong, and despite the evidence piling on that this all looked like made up rubbish, he blamed the two for it.

Yeah, that Kachinsky is a piece of shit too. I like how he got HIS OWN investigator to tear strips off the poor kid and then when he got all the drawings down on paper, said to Kachinsky he had got what they needed. WTF? You're supposed to get him to admit to making it all up.

Yeah I thought there was something off about the brother too. If I was him I’d want to be sure as hell that they got right guy for it, but even though the evidence was dodgy as hell he was in no doubt that it was Avery. Same with his comments during Brendan’s trial. Odd too that the Ex couldn’t even recall if it was night or day when he last saw Theresa.

Any theories that don't involve this guy are a waste of time.

Haha yeah him too. He was just a bit pleased with the verdict and I’m sure he played a part in what Bobby said. Even though a guilty verdict would most certainly condemn his brother.

Every piece of evidence (with the exception of the blood evidence in Teresa's car) also implicates Scott Tadych.

Furthermore, Scott's alibi was Bobby Dassey (Brendan's brother), and Bobby's alibi was Scott. They were both shown to have given information that conflicts with the independent timeline provided by the bus driver and other evidence. Nobody else saw them, unlike Steve who was recorded having phone calls with people, etc.

It was Scott's (and Barb's) van that was being sold at his request.

A witness alleged Scott attempted to get rid of one the families .22s right after the murder.

Then you've got his remarks after Avery was arrested: “What happened yesterday is the best thing in the world” ... “He got what he got comin’ to him.”

He probably never thought Brendan would get wound up in all of this. The coerced confession f**ked everyone over.

Yeah I thought for a moment that Scott might have been involved in pushing Brendan towards that confession and putting those details in his head. Get rid of his braindead step-son in the process. But I?m sure Brendan would have said something by now if that were the case.

As for the brother and the ex-bf, the ex-bf seemed to be very happy with himself for figuring out Teresa's password. I think that's bullshit, personally. My gut feeling is that he knew it all along and was spying on her. I think it's a stretch to say he killed her though.

The brother just seems to have absolute faith in the cops. The cops are probably telling him a lot more info than others, and the cops have probably manipulated him into being part of the framing without his knowledge.

Finished watching it last night and the woman that found the SUV said under oath something along the lines of "the ex-bf and brother organising the search gave me a digital camera and the direct number to the Manitowoc County Sheriff".

Now we know they didn't give anyone else searching a digital camera, but did they give every searcher the MTS's direct number? If not it's very coincidental the god botherer was destined to be the first to find the car?

I also thought Brendan handled himself very well on the stand. When he walked towards it I thought this kid is going to hang himself here. So it was a shock when they denied his request for a another trial.

I think the key moving forward are the blood stains in the car. If the defence can get them re-tested and find EDTA it'll be game on.

Chook.

I still can't believe that it is perfectly acceptable in US courts that Steven was found guilty of murdering Teresa in his bedroom, whereas Brendan was found guilty of murdering her in the garage. So much wrong with this case.

I guess it's not a surprise though when one of the jurors has come out and said that they feared for their safety if they didn't vote guilty.

To me the biggest villain of the series was Len Kachinsky.

Absolute f**king scum of the earth.

As a public defender, the only thing this guy went in to do was secure the convictions of both Steven Avery and HIS OWN CLIENT Brendan Dassey, the latter of which whose testimony was nothing short of a coerced fabrication.

Him, Michael O'Kelly and Ken Kratz were the worst for me in a constant stream of complete and utter scum. There were so many pieces of shit in this show.

Kratz invited someone on a date to a f**king autopsy

The first sexual assault case showed the mentality of that department. Arrest the most obvious guy (or the town riff raff), ignore any contradictory evidence, make sure he gets convicted, make sure he stays in jail no matter what. It's not hard to see the same thing playing out again in the second case, especially when the department is now super motivated to clear their names.

He was provided with 22 alibis for that one and all of them were ignored. It's crazy how something like that can happen.

It's silly to see these people going around saying that for there to be a conspiracy the cops must have killed the woman. That doesn't seem necessary to me at all.

Yeah I don't get it. You just have to look at the original case to see it's not necessary. The guy who did the sketch apparently drew it off a mugshot, and not the victim's description. They had the actual culprit's name (and were actually checking up on him multiple times every day), and didn't bother to investigate him. They framed him then because of his incident with his cousin.

It's not a stretch to say they would go a little further when $36 million is involved.

I missed it but where did it become clear the bones were moved.

I'm pretty sure they had an expert testify that they had to have been moved to the fire pit. They also had an expert testify that it wasn't possible for the bones to have been burnt in the fire with the size it was.

Her brother was suss as f**k to me.

The thing that I found most suss about him is the video that Teresa made that is shown in the last episode. She's talking about the people she loves and mentions her sisters and her parents, but I'm sure she doesn't mention him.

Any theories that don't involve this guy are a waste of time.

Steven's 2 brothers are also pretty good suspects.

It's sad that they couldn't bring these others up in the trial. There was a couple of times that the defense couldn't argue against something that the prosecution had said because it would mean they would suggest Scott or someone else was a possible suspect.
