Kind of ironic that Tigers fans are up in arms, given they were all for poaching N Cleary from us all season...

N Cleary can not even be approached until November because he has more than a year on his contract. At that point Tigers fans are hoping that the Tigers would try to sign him for when his contract ends......can you see the difference?

Would be a dog act from him too, he hasn't even completed a full season at the Tigers. But it is also low from the Panthers, approaching a coach who has 2 years to run on his contract and influencing him to break that contract.
Low / schmow - this is a business. You get who is best, not just who is available.

When Taylor was coaching? Because that is what it seemed like. One reason why Farah left, and has returned. So what he was referring to was the past coaching situation, and not the current climate in which you are trying to make it out to be.

Were you in a coma during Sheens last year or two, Mick Potter’s reign and of course Taylor’s stint?

Farah was asked to leave because him and his management were playing games. He than spat the dummy when he got dropped to reserve grade. It’s probably the only thing Taylor got right.

I’ll also add, Leopards don’t change their spots.

Interesting comments from James Maloney on Big Sports Breakfast this morning.

He singled out the Wests Tigers as a club where players have too much to say in the running of their club hmmmmm

The same James Maloney that left Cronulla with a year to run because he felt like that the contract he signed on for should have been upgraded? That James Maloney?

Wouldn’t have mattered if it was Josh Mansour who said it, someone from Penrith, today, singled out our club as one in where the players run the show.

Yet Tigers fans have been clawing for Nathan who we've developed with no concern for any kind of moral or ethical issues.

His contract ends at the end of next year, Tigers are open to signing him. They didn't approach him to transfer this year, they were waiting for his current contract to end, how is this the same? Surely you can see you are just making excuses to justify your clubs scummy behaviour?

The club needs to ask questions of Phil Gould's position. He can dress it up however he likes but the fact is that he is the man responsible for these decisions.
That's the beauty of being a GM though, he gets to make decisions and influence the way things are done at the club with minimal actual responsibility for if results go wrong.

It kind of matters when someone who doesn't get their way with a club exercises their player power by tossing their toys out of the cot and leaves to then bag a club out for having too much player power. Then again it does take one to know one so maybe Maloney does know what he's talking about.

You think Ivan never spoke to Nathan before the deadline?

My club has done nothing wrong. They have asked so who cares? Nothing wrong with that. He has a contract? So what. People change jobs all the time. Ivan and the Tigers can tell Panthers to jog on if they feel like it. Tigers fans are just hurt that it appears there is a chance Ivan will want to take up the offer.

Panthers met with Cleary two weeks ago, I'd say he said he'd definitely love to come back. If he'd said no, I doubt we'd be seeing what's happening.

Wests Tigers trotted out the "as far as we know he's contracted for two more years" as opposed to flat out saying he's not going anywhere.

I'd imagine Penrith/Wests will work out some compensation and Cleary will be released and sign with Penrith, big love fest, prodigal son, plus the son and blah blah blah. Mistakes were made, so on and so forth.

Tigers are the ones who are being done so dirty in all of this. Finally found themselves a keeper who had the team punching well above it's weight and he's leaving for a better opportunity. Booo-urns.
