True, but I tend to see this year (& the next couple) as being the same cycle. I don’t think we’re near our potential as yet, so I don’t think we’re retrying what we’ve done before.

In a way yes but youngest half in the comp. key guys gone out the door. Untried depth... Sounds familiar just the fact most of the top guys yet to peak is the flip side

We haven't released any 'key' players. We have released players but that is business, all clubs have to make decisions around there cap.

In case you weren't around we recently resigned to long term deals some of the most exciting and talented players in the NRL in respect of Viliame Kikau, Isaah Yeo, RCG, Waqa Blake the list is endless.

I take no joy from responding to your posts, but you have overstepped the mark, and while ever you choose to post the sort of rubbish you are currently positing well as far as I am concerned you deserved all you get.

I'm sorry to say you have totally lost the plot if you seriously believe half of what you have written on here in recent weeks.

Tyrone Peachey. Origin player named in the test squad. Has covered fullback, centre, 5/8th hooker, lock, backrow... Isn't a key player to how we have gone over the last few years?

He is the thing old man. Just because you don't agree doesn't make something rubbish. It's called an opinion and the last time I checked it is what the Internet is for.

None of us will change the opinion of those that matter but here would be a pretty boring place if we all agreed

Firstly, I have no issues at all with differing opinions so I agree with you there.

Second, in relation to Tyrone Peachy one of my favourite Panthers of all time, it was business. He got a better deal, extends his career on more money than we could offer him and the business decision enable us to extend players such as KiKau and Blake who were considered more important retentions going forward.

Third you have been on a non stop rant complaining about everything to do with our club. I can assure you the stuff you have been putting out there is not the view shared by the majority of our fans, we are better than that and in a much better position than you give any credit for.

Last of all, you clearly believe we are a laughing stock, a joke of a club, crap roster, poor management, the list is endless. Well I don’t agree with you and the record membership who will sign on again for 2019 probably don’t either.

Your arguments are normally soild even if I don't agree but to say Peach covers any position other than centre and backrow is a myth

I have never said it was the wrong decision to not re-sign Peachey over those guys mentioned.

To not have him see the deal out looks like a mistake though for the minimal gain to our cap. Once we lose Merrin, Maloney and Tamou the cap will look much healthier.

We do look a laughing stock after the coaching farce. The way it went down wasn't a good look. While Gus isn't fully to blame for it. He did inflame it by certain unnessary comments in his other media commitments.

I have never once said a bad word about the juniors as such. More how soon they are brought in.

I do think everyone involved Gus included has the right intentions. Just they seem to always be looking a few seasons ahead and overlooking current issues.

I mean did you see the pic Gus tweeted of the planning of every grades predicted lineups for the next 5 years? Isn't one of the joys of having the youngest roster is having that side long term? To me the focus should be on keeping that top 17 and adding what is needed short term

We’ll if you truly believe there are good decisions are being made then post them.

Mistakes have been made and will continue to be made that is life.

But we are in a good place and there is much to be proud of even if the elusive third premiership may not be realised any time soon.

When time calls for it I do. The title of this thread to me is a negative. Someone starts a Kikau thread you will positive.

I don't rate Ivan as a coach especially not for 5 years. I think the middle part of our squad is weak players 20-25 or so.. Which seem to be the only topics going ATM. Hence the negative posts

I'm calling bullshit. There was a time @franklin2323 called me out for being too negative and I had to point out positive comments of his that I agreed with. He's 100% a reasonable commenter whether I agree with him or not.

It is all just a timing thing ATM the topics being discussed the coach and overall squad strength are ones I disagree with the club on. As other topics come up it will go the other way
