Beave, if I lived in Ch.Ch I'd give you this for your games room:

It doesn't really look like him though. It must've been when he had just started out. The head bobbles around on a spring, it's kinda cool and I want a Warriors one!

Have seen those on trade me, think I have an old Stewart one that is similar somewhere. Poked my head onto the Manly forum, the muppets on there want every Trbojevic sacked from the club. I’m off Manly at the moment but if they ever shaft those lads I’ll be off them altogether and wait for the South Island team

We got junior rugby league in this morning in Christchurch, and all rugby and soccer was off, so a complete 180 on last week. So good to watch the kids having a go, my lad didn’t get tackled all day and put 4 over the line

Sutton is a joke, Knights winger shakes his head saying he didn’t score and he still awards the try, replays show he dropped the ball a foot above the ground and if he did ground it, it would have been touching the sideline

An 8-6 old school battle in the wet. Knights are holding on.

Nine mins left...12-8, Chooks. Final. They trailed all game till they scored a highly disputed try at the end. Newcastle were diabolical at the death. They died on the sixth with a few minutes left. The Roosters line was right in front of them.

Dom Young's a Knight, on Monday morning (as Beave pointed out). Madness.

Jesse McLean enters a reasonably rare club of playing first grade with a father and son duo (Tom Lehroyd-Lahs and his young bloke who is on debut tonight)

Geez the Knights are a putrid football side. I don't dislike them but everything about them is just ick. Almost literally every week they have a different halves combination - last night they bring back a guy on $800k who hasn't played first grade for almost a year. Yet to score 200 points this year despite playing 14 games, the Storm have played 12 and scored 400. Nearly everything about them is insipid, right down to the coach who is only not getting fired because it'll cost them too much. Then he thinks hey, why don't I alienate the fans as well, so I can't even walk down the main street of Newcastle without copping it? Geez he's an uninspiring looking bastard.

They are so deserving of the spoon, yet might not get it. The rugby league gods should ensure they do.

Harsh… O’Brien doesn’t seem any more bland and just uninspiring than most NRL coaches tb h (they’re hardly a charismatic bunch) plus his overall record is actually decent

Haha OK, he does to me. Which of the 17 coaches in this comp are more bland and uninspiring? I agree that his record is decent, incidentally, I am not disputing that. But I think everyone knows the Knights would piss him off tomorrow if it wasn't going to cost them $$$$.

Can’t think of any less inspiring, maybe only Ricky Stuart more inspiring, they’re a dull bunch publicly imo…. I think Ponga drama and Hastings drama are big things there…. No question Ponga’s brilliance but …

The Bulldogs held on against Souths but it shows they can be gettable when pressure is applied. I can't wait for the Warriors to play them. We might be the sort of side that grinds them down.

As pointed out by Meth in another thread, look at the Panthers! The Tigers are in 'spoon' territory, that's a little upsetting really. I don't think they'll get it though, as they have improved this year. It's tangible improvement, they're just tougher and better on defence.
