    NSW Game 2 team

The first game team for NSW was pretty much all the players I thought would worry us ... I'd change the bench up only. Watmough in for someone (how he wasn't there in the first place is crazy). Maybe Burher for another prop or 2nd row forward. Williams I thought was a handful and will only get...

    OFFICIAL NSW side

As a Queenslander any team with Jennings, hayne, carney, uate & stewart in it worries me regardless of club form. As for Jennings being picked from reserve grade ... There was a bloke called Olsen Filipina picked numerous times for the kiwis who managed to match, and occasionally outplay a...

    2012 NSW soo side..

As a Queenslander this is a team that would worry me if NSW picked it ...*And you guys leaving out hayne would be like us leaving out Inglis. He's been in crap club form so many times but we pick him & he kills it. Hayne's always one of your best. 1. Brett Stewart 2. Morris (take your pick)...

    Qld soo side

I am a Cowboys supporter and a huge fan of Matt Bowen but if we pick anyone but Matt Gillette as the utility we've made a stupid decision. If smith gets injured Cronk to hooker, Thurston runs the show and he plays as a running 5/8. The bench should be Shillington, Hannant, Gillette, Taylor...

"Jungle ball" "Calypso footy" etc etc

Thats VERY VERY ordinary. Imagine the uproar if the NZ commentators described Melbourne as playing "Honky Ball". I didn't mind Calypso Footy because it's take on Calypso Cricket which described the Windies way of playing off the cuff, free scoring type of game. But the more I think about it, the...

Where does Thurston rate among modern halves?

And have you noticed he always picks up his kicking tee and gives to the ballboys and gives them a pat of the head?

    Qld soo side

I'd go with the same side although start with petero (he's earnt that #) and Myles into the starting side for Taylor.

What was the point of picking DCE

Why pick him if they aren't going to use him. Felt sorry for him. Could have used Lewis as the utility, Gallen at lock and picked petero in the side... And Aussie Mick weyman instead of james Tamou!

    Taumalolo Chooses NZ

Here's an idea - how about if you hold a NZ passport you play for the kiwis and if you hold an Aussie passport you play for Australia? And so forth ... If you hold dual citizenship (as I am guessing someone like jack reed does) then you get a choice? Pretty bloody simple ...

    Your state's depth by position

It would be interesting to have a look at each State's depth in each position. Here's my thoughts on QLD ... Bit skinny in the wings and utilities. NSW have blokes like gidley and Lewis who can play anywhere really. As you can see we have ridiculous depth in the halves! Fullbacks...

    Yow Yeh's Ankle

My daughter's boyfriend had a car accident in January. On one leg he smashed his ankle/heel which has been plated ... The other leg was a compound fracture that required a rod through his lower leg (femur). It's been over 2 months and he's only been on crutches for the past 2 weeks. He's got a...

Under 20's State Of Origin April 21st

Korbin Sims is a NSW player, Taumalolo is one of those tricky ones. Maybe the new rules will make it easier to rule on where he stands.

NRL moves to block Queensland's Origin selection rorts

As an aside, I think players should be made to declare their allegiance - be it New Zealand, England, Australia (QLD and NSW) etc when they sign their first contract with a professional rugby league side. Would save them from being pressured by selectors, coaches, media etc.

NRL moves to block Queensland's Origin selection rorts

I'm a QLDer through and through and welcome the new rule changes ... although I am happy we've got Inglis, thanks. I think the new rules make a lot more sense. where you are born really doesn't make a lot of difference - its where you were raised and feel a connection to. Sterling was born in...

    Aussie bowling depth

You wouldn't have said so a few months ago but we've got a bit of depth now wit the young blokes and a few oldies with decent records. Check out this list for tests: Siddle Pattinson Cummins Hilfenhaus Starc Cutting Harris Bollinger Copeland George Haselwood Johnson (!!!)

Non Qld team support in Qld

I think for the most part the people living in QLD who support a non QLD team are blow ins from other states. Of course there'll be a few QLDers who supported a team in the Brisbane Comp and a team in the Sydney comp so they chose to continue to stick with their team when they merged (if thats...

    Shaun berrigan

Does anybody know if he is injured? Seemed odd he wasn't in the warriors grand final side.
