    WHAT THE f**kING f**k?!!!!

Not in Melbourne, Game 1's ratings were respectable but Game 2's were disappointing. Sticking with Hey Hey was the right decision for Nine in terms of ratings, particularly for a dead rubber for which there has been zero build up or hype in Victoria (the Herald Sun devoted a quarter of a page...

    WHAT THE f**kING f**k?!!!!

Aussie Rules charity game where past players and celebrities play to raise money for a cancer foundation. It not endorsed by the AFL, and actually has nothing at all to do with the AFL which is why Nine (non-rights holder) can air it. It's getting to be a sort of Harlem Globetrotters game which...

    WHAT THE f**kING f**k?!!!!

It's almost as disgraceful as the fact Nine didn't air the EJ Whitten Legends Game live in NSW and QLD on Tuesday night, opting for a repeat of "Top Gear". Seriously though, the 9.30 start wasn't too bad and let's face it the majority of Victorians will always choose MasterChef or Hey Hey...

Will State of Origin 3 draw more then 50,000?

Masterchef will beat it in the national ratings.

    2010 Crowd Watch

If they love footy then they're probably waiting for the Swans v Magpies blockbuster tonight.

    Perth Jets

Western Jets is already the name of a TAC Under 18 Football League club.

Who are Storm Fans going to get behind in the finals?

Collingwood. The NRL season ends for me after Round 26 Storm v Knights.

    2010 Crowd Watch

It also helps when you play your home games in a modern stadium instead of a dated suburban cow paddock that holds 15k like so many of the Sydney clubs continue to.

Who will play in the Grand Final?

Who cares? The Grand Final is meant to be about the two best teams of the season, and everyone knows that in 2010 one of them is not going to be out there. Hopefully Celebrity MasterChef will be on that Sunday night so there's something a bit more meaningful to watch,

Jamal Idris - The greatest player of ALL TIME

Any day now the Adelaide Crows will offer him a $4 million dollar contract....

    2010 Crowd Watch

That sort of scheduling is going to play right into the AFL's hands - next year there will be a game hosted in South East Queensland every single weekend with the Lions and Gold Coast alternating home/away games. Common sense.

    2010 Crowd Watch

49,000 turned up at the MCG today to see Carlton v Melbourne played in torrential rain. Not turning up to rugby league because of bad weather conditions is a pitiful excuse. It's an outdoor winter sport FFS.

    AFL Advertising

:sarcasm: So if you were the CEO of the Seven Network, what would you do? Show ads for Nine's Friday Night NRL? Of course they are going to promote the Swans as their games are telecast by their network!

    Folau has joined AFL

This example doesn't show that the game itself is of a low standard, simply that the Sydney competition is. I guarantee your mate wouldn't get a game in the VFL, SANFL or WAFL or even the first division of any Victorian country or Melbourne suburban football league. By the same token a lot of...

Gf replay - not live on nine - typical.....

Weak excuse there - the MCG is only about 3km away from Etihad Stadium, and the AFL often schedules games at both stadiums at the same time. Doesn't seem to hurt crowds here - there'll often be 100k+ at the two games in total.

    Fox shafting RL (again!)

7 have the Richmond v St Kilda blockbuster on the usual one hour delay at 8.30... coverage finishes around 11.50pm so Nine are too scared to start their coverage any earlier than that. They plan on capturing the sports audience who are still hungry for more after Seven's Friday Night Football.

    2010 Crowd Watch

In 2006, the International Rules Second Test between Australia and Ireland drew a crowd of 82,127 to Dublin's Croke Park. And it's returning to that venue again this October after a four year absence. Hope you have plenty of lube...

    2010 Crowd Watch

That's laughable when you consider that the 100,000 capacity MCG has sold out for a regular season game on Friday night.
