    2010 Crowd Watch

I somehow don't think it will rain at the indoor Etihad Stadium.

    Anzac TV war between codes

I really doubt the AFL cares what time Channel Nine chooses to show NRL in Melbourne.

    2010 Crowd Watch

If the NRL really want to build this game into a major national event, they should be aiming for around 80k.

    Sunday Night Origin

Underbelly is doing just fine on Sunday nights, leave the Origin to Wed.

RG not being played on Game Day - Why

Etihad Stadium will not allow curtain raisers of any code as the amount of matches played on it degrades the turf...

Why little mention of the CQ NRL bid?

As if Central Queensland could support a professional sporting team, that would be like the AFL basing a new team in Broome... ridiculous fantasy. Locations for new NRL teams need to be in larger population centres: - Perth - Adelaide - Central Coast - Brisbane/Ipswich/Sunshine Coast -...

    Anzac TV war between codes

Sorry, perhaps it was a bit old fashioned of me to refer to television network callsigns, they used to be used a lot more before the advent of digital TV and pay tv. GTV is the call sign for the Nine Network station in Melbourne, it stands for "General Television Victoria". The last letter of...

    New Melbourne Stadium

Myself and friends got them for the Cowboys game - they must have mixed it up. Makes sense I guess.

    New Melbourne Stadium

In fact all Storm members have already been sent a free family pass (2 Adults + 2 Kids) for the Storm v Cowboys home game - this will give a lot of new people the opportunity to watch RL at the new Stadium...

    Sea Eagles Rd 6 & 7

You should've looked at the AFL fixture before making those plans, as Etihad Stadium already had AFL games scheduled on both the Saturday and Sunday. So because Channel Nine didn't pick this as one of their Friday Night games, Monday night was the only remaining option.

Why little mention of the CQ NRL bid?

Geelong is a better option for a new NRL side in say 2020 once the Skilled Stadium has been redeveloped to a 40,000 multi-purpose venue with both oval and rectangular configurations... Victoria has a population of over 5 million, in the long term they can support 2 NRL sides.

All NRL Club Members Free Entry to Souths vs Parra on Sunday

It's not really fair for club members of Storm, Warriors, Cowboys, Broncos or Titans though.

    New Melbourne Stadium

There is an open day at the new stadium, Saturday week (April 24) exclusive to Storm members. Will be a good chance to view the facilities in person! Can't wait for the first Storm home game there against the Broncos - atmosphere should rival a packed Suncorp.

Maybe because the Grand Final is the only game we get live on FTA. It's hard to get excited about watching regular season games when you won't see the conclusion until around 2.30am... Most people need sleep you know.

    Anzac TV war between codes

Exactly, so why does Gallop go and make a song and dance about the game being built up into a major event and shown live nationally when he doesn't have the balls to get Nine to show it?

    2nd Favourite NRL team?

Canberra Raiders. Next closest team geographically and were a powerful force in the early 1990s before VIC had a team.

    Anzac TV war between codes

GTV Nine has just released its program schedule for Anzac Day and it looks like Nine's programmers have given scant regard to Gallop's mastermind plan to have the Anzac Day afternoon NRL match screened live nationally. Here is the schedule: 4.00 Men In Trees 5.00 Antiques Roadshow 5.30...

    Anzac TV war between codes

Of course it would be good for NRL fans in Melbourne to be able to watch this game live on FTA, but you are all missing the point. Look at Channel Nine's recent history of broadcasting: Broncos v Storm Semi Final in 2008: shown at 12:30am Manly v Storm Grand Final Rematch: 12.15am Storm...
