    not needed - just keep increasing the salary cap for NRL teams sustainably rugby union will either go broke trying to keep up or have to cut wages/pro teams in comparison making the economics in RL favour

    apparently you don't have to do that to get into the Wallabies it seems the new pathway for future Australian RU internationals is 1. Play junior rugby league 2. Get scholarship to GPS school to play RU for 2 years whilst playing RL junior reps 3. Play NRL 4. Play for the Wallabies

    The roosters did play a the Dogs at homebush this year in front of 7,000 (think it was pretty wet) - though they played plenty of games in front of 40k crowds including one in Las Vegas https://afltables.com/rl/seas/2024.html

    crowds for the Pacific Championship were all close to sell outs except for the opener at Suncorp which still got over 30k Think if they can repeat that it would be a profitable comp and could hopefully subsidise the Bowl and women's games
