    2024 Crowd Watch

I think you're right. Looking ahead (I forgot about the Sharks derby the next week) and they've already sold a lot more tickets and started releasing the back rows in some stands. Hopefully there will be a bit of a flow forward effect later in the week as tickets for the Sharks game become...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Listening to the radio segment, it sounds like doing anything significant on the North Stand would just be ultra expensive with the gates there being heritage listed and the tennis club behind the grandstand also needing to be moved. The segment seems to infer that the main intentions of the...

Wests Tigers have finally started opening up the rest of the ground. Not for this round, but nice to see the Roosters trying to create another event game https://www.nrl.com/news/2024/08/13/roosters-eager-for-new-fixture-to-join-anzac-day-as-marquee-event/

    2024 Crowd Watch

Allianz Stadium unfortunately isn't showing great signs of life for Friday's game against the Eels. It's ahead of the Rooster's clash against the Wests Tigers earlier in the year (14,711), though will need to get a move along to push into 20K zone. Wollongong is also moving slowly, which is...

    2024 Crowd Watch

It was a solid crowd for both games today. Sure we'd love to see both bigger, but they are both big crowds and both have helped pull the average up. Looking to next week, Penrith is well on track for a sell out. All the single seats in the grandstand are sold out, the family hill is down to...

    2024 Crowd Watch

This is what people consistently forget. The corporate side of CommBank Stadium sells really well for the Eels and is generally at capacity (or close to), regardless of the game. It's also behind the cameras so for anything less than around 20K doesn't look amazing.

    USA 2024

Pretty much the two leagues and the players will fund raise for it. It's part of the reason why it's often played at small venues with zero promotion.

    WA BEARS

Glad to see that the original requirement to play 2x Premiership games at North Sydney Oval has become just 1x Premiership game in NSW, which can be at any venue (with NSO, AS & CC being the preferred) At least now with the Westerm Bears able to pick any ground, they can at least make sure the...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Happens a lot unfortunately for a range of reasons, from members simply not being able to turn up for legitimate reasons, such as work, family, sickness, travel; to a lack of interest. Don't know the figure today, but in 2014, ticketed members at Cronulla, Tigers and Eels only used around half...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Southern Hill at McDonald Jones Stadium has just sold out, though less than ideal that there is now a chance of rain on Sunday. If the rain holds out, then should be 24K+ At Suncorp Stadium, Dolphins have opened up additional bays on Level 5 with Bays 530 & 531 now on sale. Silver Bays 509 -...

Double Headers also have the advantages from a cost minimisation perspective. Ground hire, staffing costs and broadcast costs are all less for a double header than two separate events, so whilst the NRLW is still establishing itself, mixing in double headers with stand alone games is not a bad...
