Queensland didn't have a public holiday yesterday. They have the King's Birthday in October, the same time NSW has labour day.

    The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Brookvale needs three more grandstands to be completed. From there, expectations could rise.

    Peter V'landys - New NRL/ARLC Chairman

Doesn't the AFL own Marvel (Docklands)? Does the NRL want to deal with the AFL? The problem with Vic, SA and WA is none of those states has a suitable large rectangular stadium to host a magic round. AAMI Park is the largest at just 30,000. At the moment, the NRL is in round 15, whilst the AFL...

    18th club, whose next?

Geez, they will be travelling alot for their 12 'home' games. Add the 12 away games which could include trips to Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Auckland. This PNG-Pasifika team will be very tired at seasons end, and probably run dead last. If they are based in Cairns...

    18th club, whose next?

    Highly unlikely.

    18th club, whose next?

It will be a crap move. Not only will the team have so much flying to do, just for home games, but it will also have multiple home grounds, just like the Wests Tigers- St.George Illawarra, who are both in a mess. And on top of that, you are inviting division, factions within a club. A Tongan...

    18th club, whose next?

Would the govt money be less if it's just PNG? It looks like it.

    18th club, whose next?

It does look like the NRL want a PNG Pasifika team in. I don't agree with it. Meanwhile Perth has to make alot of noise right now, or they will miss out. Also is everyone on the commission on board with a PNG-PASIFIKA club coming in?

Time to end neutral Origin games?

I think it's a fair system at the moment. No state has an advantage. Personally I'm not a fan of the origin period. It relegates the NRL comp for the best part of two months, where some games are played without the origin players. Pretty amateurish. So to compensate it, use origin has a...

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

Qld can wrap it up at home in game 2. So potentially, a dead rubber looms for the third game.

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

Yep and remember, the NRL scaled back it's digital arm to appease Nein.

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

I don't think Warren Smith has gone to the next level to become the game's premier commentator. IMO, Smith has been in the comfort zone at Fox for too long. He has stood still. He hasn't improved.

KISS for the GF??? (2023 GF entertainment discussion)

It might be bumpy performing the dance in between seat rows, but having fan interaction as part of the GF entertainment would certainly be unique. Maybe worth a try.

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

Smith’s biggest mistake was that he didn’t complete the tv deal. He only did half of it.

KISS for the GF??? (2023 GF entertainment discussion)

Yeah it has to be a Tina Turner tribute this year. Maybe get the players from both NRL and NRLW to do a massive nut bush city limits dance off.

What about presidents? Any presidents backing the mighty Porcupines?

    Peter V'landys - New NRL/ARLC Chairman

Well at the moment, the NRL is going over there to get a slice of the gambling dollar. However potential spin offs could emerge for the game in America, which may be more beneficial over a betting dollar.
