    Don’t forget, even with Gus’s connections the Bulldogs went into last season with Hayze Perham as their first choice fullback. Sometimes in a rebuild (which we definitely need a partial one) you have to take the short term pain to free up the cap/develop a proper replacement.

    A lot less likely than Ricky. I think the 'prodigal son returning' narrative was always going to be irresistible for Ricky. Whereas Ryles's family is established in Sydney. I think he was always going to gravitate to any Sydney-based head coaching roles.
