You never know - Parra somehow got the NRL to approve Watmough’s medical retirement, citing a reoccurring knee injury.

    2024 R6 Sat - South Sydney 22-34 Cronulla @ Accor

Makes you think how they only wanted to keep one veteran half, and chose Walker over Reynolds…

    2024 R6 Sat - Parramatta 27-20 North Qld @ CommBank

Would have been a 1 on 1 pretty close to the sideline. Penisini made the right call to hold it imo.

    2024 R6 Sat - Parramatta 27-20 North Qld @ CommBank

League-mandated bonus for us having Morgan Harper on our books.

    Rumours and Stuff

Oates far exceeds all our other options on the wing. But given we passed on him when he was technically off contract last year, it’s either we weren’t interested, or he doesn’t want to leave Brisbane even if he’s languishing in reserves

Knock-on Effect NSW Cup - Eels Team

Forming combinations is part of player development and it's not just about 'forming mad combos' between individuals but more importantly how different positions on the field can interact with one another - which consistency in who is playing where engenders. It's about not only building player...

TLT vs Tigers - Easter Monday 🐣

I’d say it’s either this, or it’s the ‘best 17’ mind set and Blaze’s versatility is being appreciated. I guess we’ll know when Moses is back as to whether Blaze is slotted back into centre.

Rd1 2024: 530pm Parra v Dogs GAME DAY THREAD @ Commbank Stadium (sold out) March 9th

I always thought Sean Russell would cement his place in the team. Last year was never going to be a true reflection of his potential given he had an injury-interrupted off season coupled with the fact of it being his first full season in first grade. He reminds me of a Luke Burt, but with a bit...

    Rumours and Stuff

So the only “good thing” Allgood did in his career was punch a top tier bloke in the head? speaks volumes of his 74 game NRL career.

    Rumours and Stuff

I like Russell. I reckon he’ll cement a Luke Burt-like role in the team. (And will probably get similar criticism on here/from the fans for not being an absolute superstar).

    Kurt Capewell

He played that role occasionally coming off the bench at Parra. He always did a good job.

    Super League 2024 discussion

I think the bigger issue is that even with IMG, it appears that there’s still no real long term planning/overall strategy for growing and running the game over here. So much has been made of the rating system that everything else is getting swept under the rug.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Well Loizou is a center, wouldn’t necessarily describe him as quality though…

I’m not surprised - he looked broken during the SL Grand Final.

    Newcastle thunder

Good to see Newcastle Thunder are trying to find a way to survive. The IMG ratings have given them further energy to push on it seems. https://www.totalrl.com/newcastle-thunder-completely-debt-free-following-ex-owners-gift-as-league-one-club-prepares-to-re-enter-rugby-league-under-new-ownership/

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

Might not be enough for 2025, but that mindset will have them rapidly moving up. Plus don’t underestimate how much of a difference replacing 2021 with 2024 will be for them, considering their lack of a secured home ground in 2021 ect (which they now have a 10 year agreement on Plough Lane)
