The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

They need to continue the construction of the big riverside stadium in Adelaide.

    Expansion Through the Second Tier

I think a 2nd division would be an excellent initative.

    Current state of NRL SA

Only 2 with 4000+ registered players? My source told me that WA has at least 30.

    Who's Your team???

I support whatever the third SA AFL team will be.

    Current state of NRL SA

Just an update on NRL SA - Roughly 600 registered players, 30% female and 20% of those players at South Adelaide RLC - All clubs are struggling with Junior development - Aim of the organisation is to have all have clubs "be fully developed" meanining that teams are fielded for all tiers and...

Whats involved with starting a new Rugby League club??

Our graphic designer is going through various colour schemes, atm we're testing out the usual SA tricolours, but we're also testing out other variations such as black and white.

18th team still possible this tv deal

A 2nd Brisbane team would be the biggest slap in the face to NRL expansionists. Perth should get it.
  8. AdelaideRLFC

NRL's growth mindset points to 18th team. And it ain't Perth.

Perth/WA franchise would be the best 18th team imho.

Whats involved with starting a new Rugby League club??

The business we are starting is not using that mascot. NRL SA and the SA Government already use the original super league Rams mascot for their rep team at CAS level and other interstate comps.

    Adelaide Rams Bid

Agreed - one of the steps we want is to get at least a couple thousand registered players, and to have all NRL SA clubs capable of fielding a team in all tiers of the comp within SA, from juniors to seniors. Thank you, it's a group effort at the end of the day. We're working with politicians in...

Whats involved with starting a new Rugby League club??

That does not matter - our club/franchise plans to be brand new. We've actually discussed what mascot and nickname we could use, and have a few potential candidates. I won't discuss them here but if you can imagine any animal mascot that's not in the NRL now, with the name "Adelaide" attached to...

Whats involved with starting a new Rugby League club??

The actual start up cost for a club on paper is not much - just the basics of getting an ACN, starting a private company, etc. To enter either the NSW or QLD cup the business needs to show cosistent revenue over years, so our aim as to field teams in the junior leagues in either state before...

    Adelaide Rams Bid

I asked NS Bears last month and I got the impression that "Adelaide is still on the table but Perth is what we're looking at". We emailed an Adelaide relocation proposal to Easts Tigers and they've so far stated that senior management is now discussing the matter. If a club confirms...

    Adelaide Rams Bid

Ensuring that all NRL SA clubs have players in all levels of the game is one of our top priorities, but that's mainly handled by the clubs themselves. Our goal is atm is to form a club that will field a team in the SG ball cup. One of the bigger issues is retention, as players who go to higher...

    Adelaide Rams Bid

Perth will no doubt get a team in the NRL as they have thousands of registered players and their junior leagues are far more developed than SA. If we get NSW cup entry by 2030 after being in the junior leagues, we can have an Adelaide franchise in the NRL by 2040 hopefully.

Not publicly, but the SA sports minister's office is actively looking at the steps needed to take to develop an Adelaide NRL franchise. At the moment our plan is to finalise a partnership with NRL SA to start a RLF club with the intention of being the "Adelaide" franchise and field a team in...

Whats involved with starting a new Rugby League club??

Thanks for the answers because I'm looking to restart the Adelaide Rams.

Wish that was the case. Given recent progressions for Adelaide's NRL entry with the SA government now getting involved I would say by the end of the 2020's
