The Worst Place On Earth You've Been To

I can second that on both accounts. Paris / France are both probably lovely, but in my short time there, having seen a few of the iconic structures, I was happy to leave. Didn't do it for me, but others I know love the place, so each to their own, I guess. Loved Scotland. Damned cold ... even...

    WA BEARS

I still reckon he's just doing this to get a few extra dollars out of the bid or some other last-minute guarantee. I am 99% sure the WA bid is over the line already and is awaiting the announcement in a few days time. PVL's just doing what he did with the PNG bid / Aus Govt a few months ago...

    WA BEARS

I don't think anyone from the WA bid are suggesting going it alone. It's a few supporters saying it.

    Grand Final entertainment

The one thing worse than seeing a live performance of someone DJing is someone miming to DJ, such as this kid did tonight in the middle of his pre-game set. Randomly went down to a mix deck and started fiddling with dials and knobs then went continued doing whatever he was doing before. The...

    The Desolation of Smug

I second this. To do what they've done is an amazing effort, particularly in this day and age, but yep, time for somebody else next year. And not a Roosters or a Melbourne either.

    Sports Ears

I think you're a tad late in asking this question. Season finished half an hour ago..! I honestly don't know the answer, but I'd say they've changed the frequency or technology and that new ones would be in order if one were to try listening to the ref.

    Grand Final entertainment

Haha! That is exactly what I was thinking at the time too! And that all-show guitarist pretending to play the guitar as well.

Does halftime count?! Paul Gallen and Cameron Smith yakking away means we can partially zone out for a few minutes.

V'landys might just be testing the waters to see how much extra they can give the NRL in a few day's notice if they needed to.

    Around the Grounds

I am totally on board with that fella and his sign.

    NRLW

With the Roosters winning it, at least Ch9 has their promo shot when advertising the NRLW for another year without having to go back several years for that shot of the Roosters raising the trophy. They can totally forget that Newcastle won it for those two years in a row now. Good on Ch9.

    WA BEARS

I think it's likely that Western Bears gets announced as Team 18 for 2027 kickoff, PNG announced as Team 19 for 2028/29 kickoff, and a Team 20 will be looked at and assesed closer to the time, but will likely kickoff in 2031/2032. Let's see what happens.

Will You Watch The Grand Final ?

That would be good. I see your post and it makes me think it would kinda be like Homer Simpson winning all those high school reunion awards then getting them stripped off him right there and then because he never graduated in the first place.

    2025 NRL Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos

Interesting, as when they updated their logo, they made a point of standardising their green going forward. That didn't last long...

2024 Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos discussion etc

The days of logos on field / coloured in-goals are well gone. While we all know the NRL Grand Final is the pinnacle of the day, the official line is that the NRLW Grand Final is of equal standing and not a curtain-raiser. Look at the Grand Final logo on the field: has both NRL and NRLW badges...

    2024 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 14-6 Melbourne @ Accor

I reckon Melbourne by 2, but I find it hard to particularly care.

    The NSW Roosters, you mean?!

    18th club, whose next?

That's both sides then! I know the few variations I sent to the WA side were also forwarded onto Peter Cumins too.
