    I still reckon he's just doing this to get a few extra dollars out of the bid or some other last-minute guarantee. I am 99% sure the WA bid is over the line already and is awaiting the announcement in a few days time. PVL's just doing what he did with the PNG bid / Aus Govt a few months ago...

    I think you're a tad late in asking this question. Season finished half an hour ago..! I honestly don't know the answer, but I'd say they've changed the frequency or technology and that new ones would be in order if one were to try listening to the ref.

    With the Roosters winning it, at least Ch9 has their promo shot when advertising the NRLW for another year without having to go back several years for that shot of the Roosters raising the trophy. They can totally forget that Newcastle won it for those two years in a row now. Good on Ch9.

    I think it's likely that Western Bears gets announced as Team 18 for 2027 kickoff, PNG announced as Team 19 for 2028/29 kickoff, and a Team 20 will be looked at and assesed closer to the time, but will likely kickoff in 2031/2032. Let's see what happens.

    The days of logos on field / coloured in-goals are well gone. While we all know the NRL Grand Final is the pinnacle of the day, the official line is that the NRLW Grand Final is of equal standing and not a curtain-raiser. Look at the Grand Final logo on the field: has both NRL and NRLW badges...
