    The St.George squads were pure ‘development squads’ made up of local players only - from 13’s to 16’s. St.George district has a pathways group of selected local 15/16”s totalling about 25 kids that is not part of this development group. There is a massive drop-off in player numbers at this age...

    A true St.George junior - Arncliffe Scots. SG Ball player of the year. He was going alright in this years grand final until he got 10 minutes in the bin for running in after his team-mate got whacked in the head. The team never recovered from his absence.

    They all do it. When Bennett came in 2009 we had nothing remotely organised post the Brian Smith era, so he set up the basis of the HPU - High Performance Unit. That lasted 13 years but apparently wasn’t doing the job, hence more jobs for the boys & the Dragons Academy has been created.
