    Oh no... 3 more years? No offence meant to a great clubman - but he delivers very little as a DH, and is nowhere near as effective as the other backrowers currently available. IMO - a bad decision: 2 years too many. We'll be paying reasonable money to a guy playing NSW Cup this time next year.

    One out of left field: I think that whilst J. Smith is on leave, we could do worse than move Dell into lock. When the big fella gets tired, he interchanges with Costigan, and Florence gets a chance to play a reasonable stint on the wing.

    I'm saying that once the obstruction rule (as it stands) has been applied - which in this case it was, it was probably applied correctly. On another point - does anyone actually know whether it was for straight obstruction, or for when Eastwood (momentarily) grabbed Soward's jersey?

    The NRL can't find anywhere near the number of Referrees that the game needs, and you want them rubbed out for applying the rules? Whether you like the decision or not, it was probably correct. Would you prefer the referees started "ad-libbing"?

    There aren't a worse bunch of losers than the Canterbury supporters. Of course, I'm only referring to the minority, but they are the worst behaved minority in the NRL - by a fair margin.
