    Not really...the NRL give each club a grant that covers the salary of the players. This didnt happen in the past.

    I think the NRL has started by allowing certain games to be shown on free to air TV also Origin. This is the first time this has happened.

    We had this in Smith and Grant followed by Greenberg but because they upset news corps agenda plus the clubs conspired against them to go down the gambling path. Listen to Steve Mascord podcast with Martyn Sadler it explains alot about how the game operates.

    Why...newspapers are dieing. News Corp can still sell national advertising with a presence in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. As much as we would like Perth and Adelaide in our comp in some format, NC show no interest at all in this happening.
