    Vlandys is a puppet not a stupid puppet doesnt want to shut WA out from govt funding for origin and magic rounds. It will be NZ2 as the NRL want constent football in their major markets for TV ie. Brisbane and NZ. Just as the same reasoning the AFL introduced second teams in Qld and Sydney.

    Most stories on this game forget to mention that GB played most of the game with 11 men as no replacements were allowed back then, including the loss of their inspirational captain Eric Ashton in the opening minutes. The replacement rule was duly changed soon after as a result.

    How about clubs go back to just one jersey with an alternate if it clashes with another club. As the Raiders once had. All these different jumpers are just grabs for cash and dilutes the identity of each club.

    In the modern sports world it is TV that will increase a clubs support based on that clubs success. Take Canberra Raiders as a prime example. Pre Meninga no one outside their area was interested once they became a great team so their support grew far and wide.
