Next TV rights deal part 2

optus is now positioning itself to be Australia's BT Sport, something Telstra should have been had it not hopped into bed with News Corp in creating Foxtel.

Next TV rights deal part 2

Foxsports blindsided yet again, Delaney not having a good year.

    Rumoured Signings - 2015/2016.

So he gets a email from a lawyer & knowing it's not intended for him his first reaction is to broadcast the details of it publicly on twitter and send copies of the contract to whoever asks. This idiot is going to get sued.

I think he may have meant that he didn't consider Penrith and Wollongong in Sydney, not Newcastle.

Rothfield as professional as always... Grant has again shut down News Corps appointed NRL target of $1.7bn, claiming it's an understatement...

    Central Coast Bears NRL Bid.

Agree completely, the CC can't sustain an NRL club long term imo, the bears should merge with the titans, and be rebranded the Gold Coast Bears and play a couple games each year on the CC. The logo could be a Bear on a surfboard, lol.

They will still throw a tantrum over it.

    Next TV rights deal

He said he never apologised to News Corp or Telstra and there's no truth to it at all, so Davidson has been caught out blatantly lying yet again.

    Next TV rights deal

According to the spin Grant cut Smith off at the knees by going around him & apologising to News Corp & Telstra, Smith resigned as a result. The rest is the same rebellion bull rehashed...

    Next TV rights deal

it hasn't for fox NRL games, but if it was permanent it would soon become a franchise slot like MNF imo. The only way a Friday 6pm game could work is if it were warriors home games at 8pm local time, but then you still have the problem in Australia of people getting home in time for the game...

 what a pathetic stooge, and foxsports wonders why nrl360 rates average, fans don't like kent, they don't respect kent and they don't f**king trust kent!

    Next TV rights deal

It's based solely on the 1.7bn figure rothfield wrote before the shit hit the fan, demonstrating that if they get saturday back that's the starting point, based on their own leak.

    Next TV rights deal

Its as if he has just taken $25m off for simulcasting and then divided the remaining $160m by the 4 FTA slots to determine the value of saturday's. Which is stupid because not only has he forgotten that origin is worth probably $30m, but each slot is not worth the same, thursday's are the most...

Well in that context the 'job' is never done, Smith established a stronger base for the next guy, which was what he was appointed to do.

Wellington and Fiji bids combine as the 'South Pacific Cyclones'

it won't happen, when the game expands in NZ it will be a NZ club.

    Next TV rights deal

Why do you think he kept getting asked the question? It's not ideal, but he's never been the only one working on the rights. The job was as done as it can be with him as ceo, short of hanging around in a job for years longer than he ever anticipated waiting for fox to return to the...

    Next TV rights deal

Because there were plenty of stories throughout the year suggesting it was his last year, it was also suggested as part of the reason for the tv negotiations starting a year early. I think he always intended to get the tv deals done by the end of the year and move on but knew he would be waiting...
