    2021 Qualifiers

Rankings are updated usually, on average, 3 times per year. It will get another update before the end of the month, since this last batch of international matches will be over.

    2021 Qualifiers

You will never get a perfect system. And as mentioned above, their tiny populations aren't helping their cause either.

Did the Russians just hack this website?

I keep getting this noisy advert every time I enter LU forum. First time I ever get ads with audio. Something about a web summit in Portugal is the ad. Anyone else getting this?

    2021 Qualifiers

Some would say the Cooks have it easy, as they only have to win 1 match in order to qualify, whereas there are some European teams that have to play as many as 7-8 games (and win) in order to get in.

    2021 Qualifiers

I didn't mean the actual rankings, I meant the standard of each country. And again, I will say, it shouldn't come as a shock to anyone that the likes of Ukraine, Czech etc. would need to win more games than the likes of France, Wales, Ireland etc. in order to qualify.

    2021 Qualifiers

It's not puzzling at all. They are higher ranked than the likes of Greece, Spain, Russia etc. Losing to France and Wales, is not the same as losing to Malta or Czech Republic. So there's nothing wrong with them still being alive after this phase of qualifying.

    Turkey becomes RLEF affiliate member

Really happy for them, they've done a lot over the last 12 months!

    2018 RLIF AGM in Leeds

I don't know, I didn't know there was talk of it being in Leeds, I'd only heard of it being in York.

    2018 RLIF AGM in Leeds

Correct and it's actually in York, not Leeds.

Anyone know what sort of crowds these matches got?

    Italy to Play Niue

    They have a big diaspora.

    2021 Qualifiers

It is not the exact group. There will be 6 teams left, who will then be put into 2 separate groups. So Italy, Russia, Spain, is not one of the groups. They are just the first 3 of the 6 into the next phase.

    Italy to Play Niue

I find it hard to get excited about these Aussies vs Aussies matches.

    What part don't you understand?

    2021 Qualifiers

That is true. However, in this situation: Professional (neutral) ref, plus two (non-neutral) amateur TJ's, I have to say, I'm ok with it. Common sense should always prevail, if it's a blatant mistake.

    2021 Qualifiers

The rules are: Group C: max. 4 heritage players Group B: max. 7 heritage players Group A: (which is essentially now the next phase) you can have up to 15, so basically only 2 domestics. I have to say, I've been following Serbia very closely for nearly 15 years now, and Spain since their...

    Talking Tiers

I believe most criteria came in after WC 2000, where you had a 'Lebanon' team playing, even though a RL ball had never been kicked on Lebanese soil at the time. Some great strides have been made since then, but I can't help we are sliding back a bit in the last few years, and turning a blind...

So do Serbia, even all their club matches. So this will definitely be on live stream.

    Talking Tiers

Do you know for a fact he never played RL as a kid? I don't, I'm just asking. It's quite likely that he played both. I was more trying to point out that he is a genuine Tongan, and I think the only one in the current team.

    Emerging nations 2018 Results

I would have to say Turkey were. A year ago, they weren't even discussing joining the ENWC, yet there they were, with a few local guys in there team, good results, and brought along quite a lot of supporters to their matches too! Meanwhile their local scene (male and female league) is booming...
