    NRLW

There’s a massive gulf in quality in the forwards unfortunately especially the middles, it was evident in round one and evident again today. Their middles are bending the line and getting quick play the ball (a lot of the time off the mark), our middles are getting stopped in their tracks

That’s one of the worst kicks I’ve ever seen, Mitchell Pearce would’ve proud of that

Are we playing rugby league or gridiron?

    NRLW

Could’ve really used Evie Jones and Evah McEwen who are in the NRLW squad, it’s the price you pay success unfortunately whereas the Steelers were able to drop a girl like Bronte Wilson back from NRLW because the dragons NRLW side aren’t in the finals

    He’s a $1 million a year Tyran Wishart

    2024 FW3 Sat - Penrith 26-6 Cronulla @ Accor

Nicho never got on the field, got the Aaron Raper treatment. Bellamy couldn’t risk his big game phobia in the final few minutes with the game in the balance, more importantly, Brenko Lee is a friggen premiership winner, my gawd.

    2024 FW3 Sat - Penrith 26-6 Cronulla @ Accor

Good under the high ball isn’t really a halfback trait though. He runs the ball a lot, like more than any halfback has ever run the ball and when his team is on the front foot and he’s running at defensive lines that aren’t set it works a charm and he can ball play a little from that. When you...

    2024 FW3 Sat - Penrith 26-6 Cronulla @ Accor

He’s just not up to it in big games against quality opposition. There’s simply nothing in his skillset that’s elite

    Rumoured Targets 3

The guy is obsessed with Adam Elliott and Phil Gardner like I’m talking stalker obsession. I’m sure in his head if Gardner retires and Elliott leaves tomorrow we’ll win the premiership next year

He should just go do a few lines cop a one game ban and be done with it

    Ponga Appreciation Thread.

To be fair dozens and I mean dozens of players have done so in the past and not a single one of them faced even close to the same scrutiny as Ponga, what they underestimated was the level of Paul Crawley’s hatred toward Ponga and the club and the influence Fox and News Limited have in driving...

What would you expect from the dribblers at NRL360, it’s the most agenda driven rubbish on TV. Let’s lay all the cards on the table here, this narrative was driven by Paul Crawley who has a very public disdain against the knights from when his good friend Wayne Bennett and his brother Michael...

    Ponga Appreciation Thread.

This just shows how much power the media have and how agenda driven the NRL is. Unfortunately we have an ego driven chairman in PVL who’s absolutely obsessed with optics and media perception and desperately wants to be the godfather of rugby league. You have some absolute oxygen thieves in the...

    Ponga Appreciation Thread.

Good luck to the NRL enforcing any legalities given their previous lack of action. The knights could throw any number of precedents of players doing the exact same thing as Ponga and not being sanctioned, I also imagine the RLPA won’t sit there silently watching one of their most high profile...

    Ponga Appreciation Thread.

If they did that and it got taken to court there is no way the NRL would have a case based on precedent alone. Dozens of players have made themselves unavailable for selection from various rep teams previously and there has never been criticism let alone sanction in fact Stefano Utoikamanu...

    Rumoured Targets 3

Yeah, he’s got all the attributes and carves up in Qld cup and has moments where he looks like a world beater but struggles for consistency and to lead a team around. I believe they have a really high opinion of Jaxon Purdue and can see him as their long term halves partner with Dearden

    Rumoured Targets 3

Drinkwater was worse on ground in that same game, in any case I don’t think you can judge a youngster in their system by how many errors Clifford made in a particular game

    Rumoured Targets 3

Clifford has a lot more first grade experience and has played with a lot of the current squad. Clifford also isn’t as bad as you’re insinuating, he’s just not someone who can be a dominant half as we were expecting of him

    Rumoured Targets 3

The other halfback I would look at is Thomas Duffy from the cowboys, 21 year old former Australian schoolboy and qld under 19 rep. Was named halfback in Qld cup team of the year and lead the Qld cup in points, line break assists and try assists. Gus went hard to try sign him last year but he...

    Around the Grounds

As someone who follows the NFL pretty closely I can tell you draft picks are highly valued, teams with the top picks typically don’t give up those picks for anything less than a kings ransom.
