    Rumoured Targets 3

I think there’s this misconception that Wayne is some sort of disciplinarian which just isn’t the case, Wayne just knew how to keep a lid on things and it helped that he had media connections who would help with the spin. As you said Te Whare never managed to keep his weight in check, last stint...

This is an article about him from when the panthers signed him from NZ

    Rumoured Targets 3

So you think new unnamed CEO of wests is the answer despite not knowing who this CEO could be and not knowing what the directive is from the wests board. I think using premierships as the only measure of success is incredibly short sighted, success isn’t achieved without other things in place...

    Rumoured Targets 3

Yeah Laundy plays the role of business backer but the $10m sugar daddy allowance from the leagues club is the biggest leg up they have over most clubs.

    Rumoured Targets 3

So do you want Gardner to be responsible or not responsible for the results of the club? you still haven’t answered my question of what changes exactly for Parr if Gardner retires tomorrow? With respect to the bulldogs, they’ve had one good season where they crashed out first week of the...

    Rumoured Targets 3

Again how does Gardner stepping aside change things dramatically? Parr or whoever is running football operations still needs to answer to the wests CEO. I think you saying the buck stops with Gardner but then you wanting Gardner to be completely hands off is slightly contradictory. I think...

    Rumoured Targets 3

How do we know where the allocation of responsibility lies and how much authority Parr is given besides just speculation based on what Gardner was looking after before Parr’s arrival? In most footy clubs CEO’s typically look after the commercial side of the business anyway. Maybe Phil retires...

    Rumoured Targets 3

His role is always going to encompass the knights just like it encompasses all the other arms of the wests business like NEX, Balance gyms and their accommodation holdings. Parr will never replace Gardner because Parr essentially only looks after a very, very small arm of the overall business

    Rumoured Targets 3

Does it really make a big difference if Gardner retires? As long as Wests own the knights he’s still going to answer whoever’s in charge at wests. Say Gardner retires tomorrow they’ll probably look for an experienced CEO from club land and he/she will just takeover Gardner’s office

Played super rugby as a 19 year old which isn’t a common thing as rugby types tend to be abit more conservative with blooding juniors. Big body at 193cm and 100kg, no idea where his best position would be

    Rumoured Targets 3

Problem is I don’t think Hynes is suited to being the non ball dominant half. He averages 108 running metres per game which is down from 148m last year, it’s just unheard of for a halfback to be taking on the line that much, for context Shaun Johnson has never averaged more than 83m per game in...

    Rumoured Targets 3

Yep, don’t think he ever really played in the halves until he got to Cronulla. Hynes game is built around effort and involvement and you could argue Cronulla at stages have looked a more balanced team without him. I think at this stage of time we need players who can nail the big moments more...

    Rumoured Targets 3

I think people are still stuck in the old way of thinking that wingers aren’t valuable. Maybe 10-20 years ago you’d blood someone on the wing and then eventually move them to fullback or centre but these days a lot of really good players will spend their entire careers on the wing or even be...

    Rumoured Targets 3

I think Sharpe being such a revelation on the wing I’d be reluctant to move him into the halves. I have no idea what his kicking game looks like so it’s hard to envision him as a 7 tbh.

Josh Addo Carr drug testing controversy

So are you saying police shouldn’t test for anything? Please make it make sense

    Rumoured Targets 3

Yeah i think he could be a handy smaller middle with mobility abit like a Cotter/McInness type or being realistic probably more in the calibre of Kurtis Morrin/Kobe Hethrington.

Match Discussion: Round 27 vs Dolphins @ McDonald Jones Stadium, New Lambton / Awabakal

I’m not at all saying AOB is the master coach, but at this point neither is old man Bennett

Match Discussion: Round 27 vs Dolphins @ McDonald Jones Stadium, New Lambton / Awabakal

AOB>Bennett, in the past 2 season head to head is 3-1 AOB and AOB has made the finals twice whilst Wayne is having another September off

    Rumoured Targets 3

Brooks has been good, had probably his worse game of the year against the tigers but over the course of the season I’d say he’s been one of the top 3 or 4 off season recruits across the NRL
