    2025 Ashes Tour

Doubt we’d get 5 games but ideally they’d play NZ before they go and France before or after England games. If done well we could have a decent international season. England V Australia x3 Pacific Cup - NZ, Tonga & Samoa tri-series. Pacific Bowl - PNG V Fiji 2-3 game series. WCQs - France, Cook...

    England v Samoa 2024 series

Only thing I’d add in an ideal world would be a week of warm ups so we can get an Australia V NZ test in, should be one a year at least. Australia V NZ England V France Tonga V Lebanon Samoa V Cook Islands PNG V Fiji Wishful thinking, I know.

    England v Samoa 2024 series

Yehp that’d be the common sense approach, should be 4 teams regardless. Leaves Fiji high and dry for competitive games in the Bowl but could have them play a warm up or 2 Vs a Cup team and/or Lebanon to fill their schedule, plus a promotion game assuming the beat Cook Islands.

    England v Samoa 2024 series

Yeh if NZ or maybe even Tonga did get relegated I could see it being conveniently forgotten or there being a “structure change”. Fair chance they’d just make it 2 pools of 3 with a final for one year at that point.

    England v Samoa 2024 series

Samoa will fill Australia’s spot, so if PNG win the relegation game they should get a spot. Organisers would hate that though, I’m sure they’re banking on a NZ/Tonga/Samoa tri-series.

    Pacific Championships 2024

I’m not fussed on the format these days but we need those 9 plus the likes of Wales, Lebanon, Ireland etc playing each other regularly, 2-4 games a year for every team. Having 3 team tournaments and “bye weeks” like NZ have this week is a waste with such a limited window, likewise could have...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

A 3 match Australia V NZ series every year could be huge in time. Problem is where that leaves all the other nations with such a limited window post-season.

Rugby Australia to target top NRL talent

Ex wallaby should re-learn numbers, all 3 of those are way off.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Pacific Championship is funded by the federal government. As long as the deal remains in place I’d say it will be an annual event regardless of who is in & out. Plus there is a promotion/relegation game this year so I’d say there are plans for it to take place in 2025. Most likely: 1 - NZ...

    Pacific Championships 2024

I said it last year I’ll say it again but they really need to beef up the schedule to get the most out of this window. NZ, Fiji, Tonga & Samoa could have all played warm up games last weekend minus GF players. Top tier should be 4 teams to double the amount of games pre-final. Involve Lebanon...

    New Team Colours

Perth - Red & Black, touch of white and/or yellow. Bears. PNG - Mainly yellow, bit of black trim. Or something different entirely to separate themselves from Kumuls, Hunters & Vipers. South Island - Dark Green & Black, maybe a hint of orange/brown/yellow. Brisbane 3/Ipswich - Dark green &...

    PNG's back.

Finished 22-22. Aus Schoolboys missed a conversion just to the side of the posts after the siren.

    Pacific Championships 2024

On the other side of it Nanai, Taulagi, Sua, Fotuaika, Kaufusi, Leniu, Paulo & Utoikamanu were all born in NZ, just from squads the last 2 years. I think we can assume at least a few of those would have opted for the Kiwis if Origin didn’t exist or they could play both like they can for the...

    The Case for Adelaide.....

Capras is Rockhampton. Unlikely as a CQ team is I’d say the Capras would object to the use of the name in the small hope that they’ll get their own team one day.

    2024 Crowd Watch

I am all for Sydney permanently keeping the Grand Final but.. If a Grand Final or two at the MCG, Suncorp, Optus or Eden Park is what it takes to get Olympic Park rebuilt or all regional & suburban grounds sorted then I wouldn’t be upset.

    WA BEARS

I doubt the 9:30pm (7:30 Perth) would be the one that sticks but it wouldn’t surprise me if they trial it a few times to see what the ratings are like. I personally would prefer the 1pm(ish) Saturday game to 9:30pm or Monday night but I suspect they’ll trial all 3 game maybe more in the years...

    WA BEARS

I’d bet Monday night will be back, whether it’s game 9 or 10. Hopefully for game 9 they make it 3 games each Saturday & Sunday. I’d say Monday and some other unique spots will be trialled in the lead up to the 20th team & game 10, like Saturday 1pm & 9:30pm (Perth).

    WA BEARS

How will Western Bears encourage North Sydney juniors to move to Perth instead of just signing with another Sydney team when they’re getting closer to first grade?

    18th club, whose next?

To be fair you originally said 36k & 21k, both of which are about 5k over what Lions and Suns averaged at their main stadiums. Vlad’s averages are total averages which includes Magic at Suncorp for Titans and Lions & Suns home games that were played elsewhere.

    18th club, whose next?

Those AFL averages are way off. Lions averaged 29,045. Suns averaged 15,063. Those include out of town home games so I’ll refine that to be fair to AFL. Lions averaged 30,864 from 11 games in Brisbane, Suns averaged 16,919 from 9 games on the Coast.
