    Waltzing's Request: Lock Me In

yep that was me, I also said he didn't look well. He was standing right next to us and was really struggling, I mean it looked more than being just tired.

ARL considering return to reserve grade

Newcastles old Pemier League side now has the players farmed out to the local competition. This means you cannot follow the progress of the juniors through the grades unless you go to the suburban games. It also means these players can't build understandings with each other because they're at...

    Waltzing's Request: Lock Me In

Just on Pato, he really looked physically ill on Sunday, is he suffering from a previous viral infection or something?

Nothin' like a good ol' agenda

My thoughts on Reg P's post. Quinn was, and still is a solid winger, poor under the ball, nothing special. McManus far more solid under the ball, and every bit as good a finisher as Quinn, overall I'd rate McManus better than Quinn. Wicks is a huge disappointment, especially if the quotes on...

    Knights fans, where are you?

Pikja In our not too distant past years I've seen 10,000 fans at the ground watching Premier League on a regular basis, for me that is where our next crop of players emerge from (or used to) frankly now I have no idea hown those guys are going or if they are still at the club for that matter...

    Knights fans, where are you?

Sorry to disapoint Frederick, but I'm as loyal a fan as any, but I'm stating it as I see it, I've been going to games since day one, and the atmosphere in those days will be very very hard to recapture, so many factors now affect it. Ground configeration is a big one, lack of personalities in...

Luke MacDougall may be on the way out of Newcastle Knights

The fact that he was told to get back on the field or go was actually reported in the local Paper. It was the start of the end for him here at the time. As BIHK says above, Doogs was ready to sign here with us, then disappeared overseas and left his manager to reveal that he had signed with...

    Knights fans, where are you?

I think the atmosphere was better in the early days because most of the ground was grassed hills, people were closer together, and I know in my case the same people were in our area of the hill week in week out. Also I'll say it again, the crowd related to the players, they were like their mates...

    Knights fans, where are you?

There is a lot in what you say there. It's not only Johns and Buderus. O'Davis, Matt Gidley, Peden, Abes, Hughes , all guys you can call your own, and all respectable footy players, all gone and replaced with guys that Novacastrians can't relate to. Say what you like that matters. While the new...

    Knights fans, where are you?

I will add the article goes on to explain where the money would come from to re-instate premier league. It also discusses to effect Monday and Sat night games have had on crowds here.

    Knights fans, where are you?

I sent this to the herald today. It's part of a piece I wrote for the forum sevens a couple of days ago (how ironic eh?) Hopefully my piece will be in the next round of the sevens, if not I'll post the whole thing in here. Dear Sir, Once upon a time you could go to the game and watch Jersey...

OK I stand corrected. Would still be good to have a reserve grade/Premier League side to watch on match day.

No he didn't, Lakes could've used him they got flogged. Therein lies the problem with no reserve grade, from what I can gather only 3 eligable players played in the local games this weekend, that cannot be good for the players. How the hell are they going to get any match fitness?

    Your Team V Dragons

Do you know which local team he's linked with? I'll check out if he's been playing, I just don't see that he's actually played if he's there on Sunday with firsts.

Is he actually playing in the local games Roopy? He was running around with first grade on Sundays warm up!

    Your Team V Dragons

I wondered when someone would think Tim was worth another go. I thought he performed well with limited game time in his debut. I cannot see how he could not be as good a choice as Wicks, I really don't understand the love here for Wicks, he's still ordinary at best, weight loss or no weight...
