Have they ever played league before....

One thing about union that alot of people have lost sight of (due to the NH boring style of play) is that back play is often more exiting than even league, due to the amount of broken play! The Kiwi's and Wallabies showed on the weekend how tries can be scored.

    Daniel Carter - Simply sensational

I'm an Aussie and I have to say Carter is without a doubt the best Fly Half in the world! His impact was similar to the dominating form that Andrew Johns displayed in this years State of Origin 2.

    Bledisloe Cup

It's always an 80,000+ croud, so it always looks fantastic. All you can see is a sea of gold with pockets of Black... I love it.

    Bledisloe Cup

True, you can hardly call this Lions team "quality opposition" can you?

    NRL vs NFL debate

I've no doubt they do. Intervals Gridiron is fast, but overall it's incredibly slow. Rugby league and union can be slow in certain area's, but it's free flowing and consistant. It's the difference between running a marathon and running the 100 metre sprint. In the sprint you put everything into...

    NRL vs NFL debate

You said it here: Do you agree though that were all the pads to be taken away, then players would be less eager to do some of their more extravogant "tackles"? Why? I have kiwi mates that have played Gridiron at Uni, but still think that rugby (union) is a significantly more taxing...

    NRL vs NFL debate

[/size] Wouldn't you say this without a doubt a negative point in Gridiron? You said your self that Gridiron players need little technique to pull off a tackle! The fact they suffer more injuries in Gridiron seems to be as a result of this... if they took all the pads and helmets away, then the...

says the man who comes to a rugby league forum to try and convince everyone of the superiority of Gridiron. ;)

New Zealand team for first Lions test

Pretty dissapointing on Umaga's behalf though wouldn't you say... poor bloody O'Driscoll will never get another chance to play in a lions tour against the All Blacks, and no one in the All Blacks team other than Marshal said a word to him when he was stretchered off. I've always had alot of...

    Stuff the fans -Sir Clive

F#CK I HATE WOODWARD! He's such a self centered prick! He's getting sh*tty because his team has played like a bunch of fairies all tour and he can see he's gonna be smashed! I'm no kiwi, but I hope the All Blacks put 50+ past them this weekend!

    Mighty Somerset Pummell Aussies

Just out of curiosity, when was the last time Australia lost an Ashes series?

Origin challenge no world title fight

Absolutely! Johns performance last night and his dreadful matches in the 2003 series prove how correct this statement is... moron *cough*

Origin challenge no world title fight

Lockyer is a great player, but he has rarely had the sort of impact that either Fittler or Daley consistantly created in their many Origin matches... He doesn't control a game like those players do and never has. Maybe your just too young to remember. P.S You really ought to change your sig...

    Wellington vs Lions

The Lions have not had one respectable margin yet on this Tour! The All Blacks will clean sweep them AND put 50 on them in all 3 matches if they don't start improving! Meh, it'll be a laugh to see 'sir' Clive crying though!

    Webcke for game 3?

Not a chance in hell mate! Possibly next year if he thinks he can handle it, but there is no way he'll be playing Origin this year, that I assure you!

    Was Thorn On Side?

I think the operative word here is "could"... They weren't mate, get over it.
