Sounds like they need another League team down there.

Yes, that does seem to be the general consensus, but as I said just getting people to have a look at what should be an attractive product should be enough to start with and Yanks seeing Australia vs. England you might think be a little more tempting to go and see than say two Aussie club teams.

2024 TV and Streaming Ratings Discussion

Freddy`s ok, Gould bearable, just, Johns, the very definition of mouth-breather.

And so much easier to market as well it being a game between two countries, that will help catch people`s attention alone, rather than it being a game between two Australian states or club teams. There has been some concern that the score may be lop-sided, I `d say even if it is, there will be...

    The Las Vegas Thread

Agree with most of that but not necessarily with the crowds peaking around game 3, I think most people will time it to see the main event Game 4 and I think you are a bit harsh on the Sharks, they are a very exciting attacking football team and I`m sure they`ll be putting on a show for the occasion.

Rugby Australia to target top NRL talent

That`s certainly not necessarily true, Fittler would well know the career opportunities outside of football are probably still far greater in onion than League. Old school tie and all that, hopefully with the growing business side of League we may be able to change that.

Thank you, what an absolute pleasure to watch, I`m a Saints supporter nbut he was one of my favourites, such an ungainly running style yet so beautifully balanced and evasive, his ability to spot a gap and get through it, truly sublime. Btw didn`t have that great try where he chipped ahead...

Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

That sounds like the sort of thing ACA should be running a story about " who`s killing our audience ?" I can tell you right now one answer they wouldn`t be telling us...stupidity.

Good on you mate, my son`s keen for me to come down this week for the Roosters game, I`m very tempted, the boys deserve it.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Technically it`s not fair at all. Queensland could be quite confident of wrapping this series up if it had been played in their state like it would have been in years gone by. Similarly N.S.W. would be more confident of winning the series-had it come down to a decider- if the last game was then...

I met him at Taree when he was coming down the coast visiting his stores after attending the Magic Millions sales, I made a point of thanking him for his sponsorship of the game and that I was buying stuff from his store because of that association - bit of a furphy that one. I said the same...

They keep performing in the years to come like they have been this year and I suspect cracking 30k won`t be a problem for the Dolphins. People will want to go to see them play, bit like the Broncos really.

Rugby Australia to target top NRL talent

Says something doesn`t it, our two last placed teams in our compo signing 1) a 23 year old Wallaby just scratching the surface of his potential and, 2) a kid many say is the best 16 year of either rugby code in the country. These blokes aren`t coming over to play in glamour clubs, they`re coming...

    18th club, whose next?

I`ve heard this stated a few times, I suppose the up-side maybe that due to the initial excitement and extra investment in the North Sydney region we may see a resurgence in junior playing numbers, now yeah sure as Western Australia starts to gain independence through developing their own...

As a Saints fan mate, I hate the way they chop the V in half with the sponsors name, and I`m sure it`s thicker than it used to be, and btw, don`t start me on that cartoon Dragon, thankfully gone next year.

Still don`t trust him. If he got a job to coach an Australian super side or even the national team would you trust him not to attempt to take someone with him. He`s union, don`t trust him as far as you could throw him.

    18th club, whose next?

Was too young myself, but remember vividly my Father (a Tigers supporter) telling me about a team that had won 11 straight and thinking, even as a 5 or so old, that`s the team for me. A life-long love affair that I have passed onto my youngest. Seeing that Red V without all the advertising...

And that`s why I wouldn`t let Michael Cheika anywhere near our game.
