    I never said they were smart, I just said they realised they f**ked up almost immediately. You have to realise that several clubs have given Moses M’Bye legal tender in exchange for his footballing services. James Roberts also. There is clearly capacity for clubs to make shit signings.

    Thank you, if you have him in your BBL side for 10 games he will win 1-2 off his own bat alone, and be key in another couple. I think the Stars problem is their team is so batter heavy, meaning when they post 190 you’re not too worried about chasing, as the bowling is generally poor.

    Do they have Maxwell at all this season? If so he’s good for a win or two. Not sure why they are so bad, they have a top heavy side, but there’s enough quality there to win a few games.

    To be fair there have been 4 partnerships in the match over 50, with only one exceeding 100. A total of 274 is probably a lot larger than it seems on the surface. There might be enough of a carrot dangled there for India to go after.

    From Indias POV - would it be worth declaring and making the Aussies decide if they go for it or not? As you said, they probably would play it fairly safe but was just good for thought. Game is essentially over now they’ve avoided the follow on.

They’d likely bat about 15-20 overs and score about 100-120. This gives India about 70-75 overs to score 320ish and win the...

    it’s a reward to the Stars fans - one less game they need to go and watch. Also it’s a reward to the people of Melbourne on that they wont have to have the Thunder in the same state as them.
